Who else was Arsenal's most advance midfielder outside Ozil and Iwobi? Ozil and Mikhitarian missed many games, mind you. It's academic Iwobi would have been the next player in chance created due to his starting position on the field.
T

You think Pele never missed chances? I'm telling you Aubameyang shot per goal statistics was something like one shot, one goal. Aubameyang ended up that season as the league's top scorer. Even Lacazette scored his own fair share of goals.
The koko be say Iwobi's chance created were not good enough to translate to assists. See how Saka was dropping his assists this season. Even Willock.
excuse me bro. . Did you just mention willock?

Yes. 1 assist and 5goals for a bench player. Iwobi have not managed more than 4goals in a season.

What other midfielders? Xhaka would have passed the ball more to the strikers? Or Torriera or Guendozi who all played at the base?
Make una dey reason na.
FYI Iwobi played more as a LW so your argument that he played as advance MF is void.

Xhaka, Torreira and Geun all had more games than iwobi

He had just two more premier league app than ozil and 3 more than miki

Yet he created more chances than any arsenal player according to Squakwa

Arsenal top chance creator in the premier league this season was Pepe with 35..

In comparison, Iwobi created 40 chances for arsenal last season in the PL...

What do u have to say about that??

Where in the world have you seen DMs assessed by the number of chances they created?
How many chances did Ndidi create this season?
You guys come up with all these nonsense to protect Iwobi who every man and his dog knows he lacks the ability to be decisive in the final 3rd.

Pepe's XGA this season was 18. That is his goals and assists combined.
Iwobi's last season with Arsenal was 3 goals, 4 assists XGA= 7.
You see the difference now?

Yeah. Willock of all people. Give him Iwobi's minutes, he will crack double digit goals, that's the implication of his stats and probably the reason why Arsenal had no qualms binning Iwobi.
I hear Everton want to get rid too.

The topic of discussion is "chance created"..

He did his part by creating the chances....it isn't his fault that the people the chance were created for couldn't make good use of it...

Go and watch arsenal last PL game of 2018/2019.see how Iwobi was creating chances upon chance while Aubameyang wasted them...

And it just happened that those Auba scored weren't from the gamut Iwobi created. Tells me the quality of his final balls were suspect then.
You can't complain of fire power when you have the league's top scorer to feed.

With a grand total of 831 minutes in the Epl. Dose that look like the numbers of a regular to you?

Someone with a goal contribution of 10 in 40 appearances as a midfielder for the super eagles

That's quite enormous for a player that isn't decisive

But when you want to talk about appearance, you bringing the EPL

At almost 2k minutes this season, e should be tearing up everywhere with assists na...

The same Willock that can not make a simple pass to save his life? And you lied about Arsenal having no problem getting rid of him. Damn! I only blame Emery. Dude really fumbled with that single transfer.

You're still pushing this? Your point being that Willock isn't a bench player? Mind you, this season was Arsenals worst ever with 3 different managers.
You're talking of a player in his first season dropping 5 goals. A grand total Iwobi have never managed in his career?

Jezz. Arsenal effectively replaced Iwobi's goals and assists with Saka, Martineli and Willock's contribution.
Individually these young boys outscored Iwobi this season.
Iwobi scored 3 goals in his last season for Arsenal. Each of these boys scored more than that in their first season.
Selling Iwobi was a smashing decision.
Evertonians are claiming Arsenal scammed them.

Martinelli is a striker bro...and also it is easier to get assists from crosses and cut backs is Saka's case. As for that willock wey you bring,it is laughable. You can't use goals only to compare Joe with Iwobi. Arsenal are 16th in term of goalscoring chances created this season. That should tell you why we really missed Iwobi in the final third. Iwobi might be inconsistent but all your arguments were bore on hate. Willock of all people? Damn

Marinelli himself said he preferred playing on the left. Maybe you probably know Martineli more than Martineli.
Watch his goal against Chelsea and tell me his starting position in that game. Even in cup games when Arsenal played him up-front because Nkatiah was out on loan, he always attacked from the left.

Iwobi is tidy player but not the kind of player to run your offense. His end product is flat out poor.
3 youngsters promoted in his stead all out performed him this season and yet, you claim Arsenal made an error selling him.
Iwobi can have a decent career of course but it appears he wasn't destined to play for the top dogs. Watch him shine at Crystal Palace, Aston Villa or somewhere like Southampton with less pressure.

I recall vividly a point Emery hired a personal coach for Iwobi to work on his finishing. That same season Iwobi returned just 3goals and 4 assists.
Iwobi is can be tidy at times with odd nutmeg here and there but that's just about it. Every other thing is unpolished.
