I don't care about ucbrowser download manager. I use better download managers like ADM Pro and IDMP.

As for browsers I suggest Kiwi(good support for Chrome store extensions) and Brave(This I currently use). When I wanted to download I copy link to my download manager and let it do the rest
These browsers you recommended, how well do they manage ads? UCweb deals with ads better than Google Chrome obviously.

all the guys complaining about the ads in uc browser I guess you installed from playstore... modders have been patching uc browser to be ad-free for a long time now.

They do. Maybe not like before, but they still do. Open gsmarena.com with adblock off and on and see the difference.

You need to see the junk this browser dumps in your phone's cache. What concerns a browser with my WhatsApp account?

I clear my cache every night before going to bed. UC browser isn't ideal for surfing the net sha, but when it comes to downloading...

that might be Google's new policy on installing apps from third party sites playing it's cause.

Is there any work around?

you could try disabling play protect then try installing it again to see if it works, and then you can turn your play protect back on ... in case you are feeling skeptical about turning off play protect, let me inform you that I've turned it off for some months without a glitch.

When it comes to downloading I use ADM Pro more. The ability to resume an expired link by just re-adding and updating the link is something Ucbrowser have lost the ability. I have been UC Browser for over 13 years but they have lost all the things that made them loved.

copying links and pasting to external download manager has always been a turn off for me sha... when it comes to downloading UC still does magic if you know where to look.

Someone should answer abeg, uc browser Dey vex me of late

Use phoenix browser. It's the only browser i know that has something similar to the downloading options of uc web and it's pretty fast too. Assuming it can support my system font i would have loved it more. You can try it out though

or you can try keeping them both
BRAVE BROWSER for surfing the net (reading etc)
UC BROWSER whenever you intend to do some downloading.
that's the formula I use and I have been just fine.
That's what I will most likely do. Thanks.

There is no in and outs of UCbrowser I don't know. After they removed the feature of been able to refresh a download by just trying to restart it went to UC mini and they still remove it.

For browsing no be today. And I no trouble wey I almost enter trying to access dark web with UC browser so no be today.

As for copy and paste no need to do that. If not for Android changes it was direct before now. Once you enable all grabbing with ADM Pro, IDMP and add more extensions once you copy link address of a direct link it picks it up automatically

It has access to your WhatsApp.

As for the junk, you won't see it except you use an advanced file explorer app.

I use Samsung browser and kiwi and I've never seen any junk they left behind.

AliExpress app is another ad server

Hope while setting it up in the last page you didn't give it permission for light ads?

Also when you load a site you can still control it. Maybe the ads loads in form of scripts which is a very clever way to escape adblocks. See image below.

Also you can try kiwi with the adblock extension.
Yea....I did all that. I think I will keep the Brave for now
