Guys there’s no topic specifically for people trying to apply for the Poland work visa. I have a work permit already but waiting to apply for the visa.

Can we all help ourselves here by sharing our experiences getting Poland work visa. Especially requirements and the types of documents to submit at the embassy.

Please if you’ve ever gotten a Poland work visa from Nigeria please share your experience and the documents you submitted.

I’ll also answer any questions. Let’s help ourselves to tackle this visa thing pls
Thanks.

The company that offer me the job, applied for the work permit for me from the Polish government and it was granted.

The documents that I got are

-A stamped document from the Polish government that certify that I’m eligible to work in Poland.
-Work contract(duration of the contract, Salary, work hours per week etc)
-Accommodation
-Letter from the government to apply for the visa.
-Letter that I have a job with the company

Now I’d need to apply for the visa in Nigeria. That’s what I meant by work visa

I’d appreciate if you can advise on necessary documents to add to the above ones I have already.

Thanks

Work permit and work visa are the same thing..you need to contact the company to clarify things for you.

You can't apply for work visa ( Type A) from Nigeria, the only Type A visa you can apply from Nigeria is airport's transit visa.

Actually to be honest I submitted my CV to someone who has a contact with the company, and when the company got my CV, they offered me the job. And Yes I paid the person.

I think it’s a bit difficult to apply directly from Nigeria to a company in Poland and get them to process the work permit for you just like that, I’m not sure.

So it’s easier if you have a link over there with a company already.

I contacted the company , they asked me to apply for a Polish National visa Type D(1 year) from Nigeria

Choose this visa if you want to stay in Poland for more than 90 days. The validity of a national visa cannot exceed one year. You also need to apply for a national visa if you seek asylum, repatriation, or if you use Polish Card privileges
