You can also add the following Ball sports to the List too

1)Rugby- 2nd favourite Ball sport after footy. 80 minutes of intense end to end high octane action. What's there not to love? Watching the Lads lift the Webb Ellis trophy in 03 remains one of my fondest sporting memories.

2) Cricket - Most especially in the Oned day(50 overs) and 20 overs format. The only time I purposely follow Test Cricket is when the Ashes comes around.

3) NFL - my love for this particular sport comes from the time period when a certain Barry Sanders ruled the roost.

4) Lawn Tennis- Head down to SW19 next year
When the Most prestigious Major in the sport is on and tell me if you won't fall in Love. You only realise the tremendous amount of Fitness and Skill it takes to be somewhat competitive at the highest level when you watch them up close and personal. It's a thing of beauty I tell you.

5) Golf- I practically only follow the Majors so there is that.

In addition to these aforementioned sports, I can give you a list Non Ball Sports I either follow or I am quite conversant in. Variety is the spice of Life o.

Btw who says I don't follow any Team in the League?

You are right and i pray he is not another Fraudiola defensively. We will see what he does, when he has a quality CB to lead from the back.

Teams know we are desperate for buys and would try to cash out on us, and if the board ain't ready to cough out such sums we may be stuck with the Chris, Rudi and the Alonso's of this world.

Much worse, go get someone of lesser or even quality with what we currently have.

It depends on the age you got here. If you got to America as a teen you probably will pickup their sports.
Roland17 probably got to America earlier than I did so he grew up with American sports. I got here at over 25yrs old, fully grown and set in my ways. I still watch basketball and American football especially the playoffs

College years is too late to be a passionate fan of something you can't even play.

How will only one man be a fan of a club in hockey, baseball, basketball and Gridiron plus two football clubs.

That one na cheerleader, no be fan.

Should we call him Cheerleader17 or Anywherebelleface17?

I wanted to comment on that too but it will lead to another religious political long thing
Why are western liberals okay with dragging other religions but put a stop when it comes to Islam?
Why is the same energy and freedom of expression not extended equally

I don't think it is a question of liberals or conservatives. The west have had a very high rate of islamophobia especially since 9/11. I think this is why some politicians have moved to protect the religion more than others.
But in my opinion, it is too drastic to criminalize even constructive criticism of the religion. It will only achieve the opposite of its intended result.

Few weeks ago someone was making fun of airmark's wife, majority were cheering and clicking their L and S.

Seems it's OK to do it to airmarkk because he has done it to someone in the past and it's more OK to continually condemn airmarkk for his actions and laugh with others who engage in it.

I don't condone that but for people to do that to him he must have done some bloody things in the past.

There was a time he was always shading Sod, and winning. Bringing Sars at any given moment. But Sod jazzed up and now always beat him up.

There is a limit to tackles because one day person go learn how to dribble like Messi.

Airmark is one of my favourite person here but he too get enemies.

I like the direction of your argument and it is a fair argument to say that irrespective of political ideology, the West have have been hesitsant about the extremes of Islam even before 9/11. However, that hesitation is the reason we have to be careful so we don't generalize and infringe on religious liberty which includes Islam. The hesitation makes the religion quite vulnerable especially in modern America.

God bless you for remembering that.

Some of these dolts have no life outside of nairaland, trust me and they would be the first to say someone is suffering.

Below is another person debunking another lie told by that Lana1 about the place he said was flooded.

They live a frustrated life and try to pour the bitterness on airmark.

I school at ibadan currently and i am 90% sure that the flood stuff is in the past.Properties around college crescent and anfani are expensive now.Remember Banana Island was once water, would it be factual to tag it that today?.I Have to commend that banter though, absolute thunderbolt.

Thanks jare.

Actually we lost our two top CBs, but that isn't an excuse.

Lampard system is worrisome, corner kicks , fks, any attack on the box is a scare.

This transcends players abilities and inabilities.

Does the Goalkeeper losing all confidence whatsoever to come off his line on setpieces have something to do with this? At least 10-15 goals this season could have been prevented by a more aerially dominant goalkeeper.

We can still get some decent players at reasonable fees, for a quick fix.

Dunk won't be bad from Brighton and his fee won't tear our pocket. That Getafe boy as LB is still ok for me or any of Unlimited's LBs and 30 to 40m will cover that. Some decent keepers will slap their coaches to force a move to Chelsea, once that No. 1 jersey is guaranteed. grin

In the west we have had liberals depicts Jesus as gay, we have people burning bibles openly and in every of these situations when people are offended, they quickly point to their freedom of expression but these same people are very cautious about saying anything at all about other religions

Just like you have Islamophobia in the west you have "Judeophobia" in the East in many places you cannot even openly practice any other religion aside the state approved one. Anything about some religion is fair game both in the east and west but not others

Every religion has very terrible sides to it both historically and even currently but we are able to openly talk and criticize some but not others

It's the same reason why you have to agree to a statement before posting on the Islam section of Nairaland.

To be honest, The Islamic religion has not really helped itself image wise.

Throughout this century, the number one international problem for world leaders has been Islamic extremism or terrorism.
The top 5 biggest terrorist groups globally are people from this religion.

It doesn't help that they don't have a globally recognized leader who can direct their affairs and who they can all listen to. This has led to many of their sects spread across all the continents wreaking havoc on "nonbelievers". It's only natural that people respond with skepticism towards them.

That rule seun put on nairaland is very bad equitably speaking, I detest it. I don't think he has ever proffered a reason why he enacted that rule.

Speaking of the west, I don't think it is illegal to also burn the Quran the way others burn the Bible. It is indeed an individual's inalienable right to burn any book as he sees fit so far as it is his own possession.

As to the question of calling Jesus or Mohammed gay, I don't know the legality of this but personally, i can't encourage such.
One could argue that calling them gay is simply slanderous and offensive to their believers seeing as they is no evidence at all that would purport their being gay. Whoever does that is simply being purposely offensive. There is a big difference between constructive criticism and trolling.

Because I was a participator in that Sport till I left Uni. No time bro. You can't play 11-a-side Wednesday and Saturday, training on Monday, Powerleague on Thursday, work double-shift on Sunday to pay rent and be following other sports. I still have my boxing and Athletics to follow as well plus other European leagues to watch before I think of another sport jare. I leave that to the cheerleaders and Jack of all trade and master of none. And BTW, any ball sport using hands to play is anathema to me. I can never dig it.
