officially it stated within 2yrs but you can start your application in less than a year.

@brownesugar, thank you very much. I got my NOA1 a week after mailing my package off. I will suggest you track the money order you bought to see if they've been cashed. If the money orders are cashed already, then be rest assured that your will hear from USCIS soon.

2 years it's a reference to meet in person at least once (better 2-3 times) during the last 2 years. If you did meet in person today, you can apply after that immediately or anytime. If 2 years past from you last meeting, you need to meet / visit again to apply for a Fiance(e) visa.

please will the proove be some written document or something what asides from the pictures we both took when he was in Nigeria, which he initially attached to the form.

Update!!!

So i got an email in this afternoon that says:

'We write to inform you that the review of your case has been completed and the next step is for you to drop off your International passport at the GSS Document Collection Center located at the DHL Service Center at Plot 230, Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos for visa issuance. Once you submit the highlighted, it will be forwarded to the U.S. Consulate office for processing. A copy of our drop off letter is attached for your use.'

I was so excited.

I was on the Island at that time.......if you see the way i drove down to the mainland, picked my passport and ran back to VI so that i would get to the DHL ofice before 4.00pm.

I hope to get my passport back as soon as possible. I have a wedding to plan ASAP.

I think that processing time is just for the books but the actual time of receiving the EAD will be much shorter.

I hope it is. They are desperately in need of funds to speed up backlogs. I also hope congress steps in and release the emergency fund.
