Babadee1900:I started the car this morning but to my amazement, it drove as if nothing happened yesterday. Why driving home yesterday night switching from DRIVE to gear 2, the belt got damaged and cut into piece but I managed to drive it home from 3rd mainland bridge. I replaced the belt this morning but noticed engine oil is seriously leaking from around the pully holding the belt. Changed the belt and the car drove smoothly. |

mabeni:Better! As for your transmission, some symptoms don’t manifest when the tranny is still cold or yet to reach its optimum operating temperature. If you experience same symptoms again today after extensive driving, know that it’s time for you to visit a transmission expert for proper diagnosis. Meanwhile run away from that mechanic that told you to use HOLTS in your tranny. Gracias 2 Likes |

jpworld:Bro thanks for this, I’ve been thinking of doing this Taxify/Uber stuff, I can get two Tokunbo corrolla’s and register but I’m worried about how to monitor the drivers and other security measures I should take. The only experience I’ve had in transport is with those small white buses, I had two of them about 3 years ago but then sold it off because I couldn’t monitor the drivers and they were giving me plenty excuses. I want to know: 1) Do your drivers use only Uber or both Uber and taxify and how do you monitor them 2) How do you secure your corrolla(do you install a tracking device?) because I’ve heard about corrolla being very easy to steal. Do the drivers pack it at your place 3) Any other information you think will be helpful please 1 Like |

mrjaydee: I somehow understands how the app works. Uber charges if a rider cancels after five minutes, only if the driver was on his way to pick up, he doesn't necessarily have to arrive at pickup before you can get charged after five minutes. If the driver is not moving at all, the rider will not be charged for cancellation after five minutes, very unlikely. And if the driver is heading to a different direction from the point of pickup and rider cancels after five minutes, he may likely not get charged also. Last week, I was going to pick up someone at Ikoyi, I figured that I will be stuck in an endless traffic after dropping him off at Osborne Forshore, a short trip, I had to cancel it myself because I was already heading towards his direction. I know he would have been charged if I asked him to cancel. To avoid that, I canceled it myself and moved on. Usually if I'm not going like that, I will ask riders to cancel and refund them immediately. If am not interested in the trip, I still refund them if I didn't ask them to cancel. Uber removed the refund rider part from my app long ago . I refund a lot, just don't like taking what I didn't work for unnecessarily. I only charge for cancellations that I feel are justified, if a rider doesn't show, stubbornly refuses to cancel at the right time and make me drive to pickup. As for Felicity, since Uber has adjusted the fare and didn't send you a message or block your account, I think the matter is settled for now. I don't really judge people or get too critical about their actions, we are all humans and we all have our moments of madness. It's not a fraudulent act like some folks here are making it seem even though what you did cannot be justified. You just need to be careful going forward. This is already in your record and may lead to an outright ban if this happens again in the nearest future. No need of reaching out to the guy since he has been refunded and Uber is already aware of the matter. Just my two cents though. 8 Likes 1 Share |

ndubuis: If maybe we all call a spade, a spade, this world would be a better place. What he did was fraud He scammed his rider He stole from him Him starting the trip was not the issue. He drove down to Berger, parked and negotiated with four different riders and carried them all the way to Ogba before he ended the trip...and to you, that's not fraudulent, but a moment of madness If it was a rider now, I can imagine how here would be turned upside down. Or maybe those riders scamming drivers are also having moments of madness too 20 Likes |

themonk: This is for everyone. First, I started by admitting to the wrong did. I was just furious probably because of some bad ride previously experienced. I called this guy twice and took time to explain to him and affirmed him he don't be charged should he cancel I even went further to let him know his destination is off my way cause of curfew (inside Berger). Those of you saying it's wickedness, who is more wicked after all these explanation I gave to him. If police sieze my car what would I say to my partner?? Ok I should give police all the money I've worked all week long abi I've had some bad experiences like this that didn't turn out well for me at the end of the day. Yes you win some and lose some, but do I have to always be at yhe loosing end all the time? I've done about 8km PU distance just because rider refused to cancel in which my account has bewn flagged for h8gh cancellation. Now, my balance as at yesterday was above -N15k so cancelling a card trip would have put my account in a very high risk of being blocked. My account was suspended on Wednesday last week s8mply because a rider cancelled after I'd arrived and was charged. Uber said it was because my cancellation rate was above 7%. Let me stop here. So, All of these put together was why I took that decision to start the trip without the guy. Well, as I woke up this morning I don forget and my conscience has prinked me and I sent him a text apologising and asking for his acct details to trx back his money. If him like make him send if him like make him no send. Me I don move on. Thank God I eat the N7500 bonus after completing 32trips for the week so my balance is now reduced to about 3k. Omooshodi thanks jor...na only I understand well but that doenst mean we r bad people. Bad people don't have a conscience and I'm not a hypocrite who only share the good experience like every other guy here if I do good I don't say it but I come out bold to say all the bad I think I may have done that's felicity0001 for you all. And in any case it goes I make sure never regret my actions. 10 Likes 1 Share |

donfortune48:Rider can protest this on the ground that driver took longer than the ETA, uber will immediately redund. It is also worthy of note that the driver in this term wont be compensated in such charges after 5min of making the request especially if he'd not arrived at the PUP. |

northbird:Honestly, but that's also to tell you how a good thing can also have a bad attributes/xter and vice versa. I'm sure that by the time 70% of Uber riders start asking uber for this feature uber will have no choice but to attend to their request. The only good change that came with the present uber version is setting destination before going online unlike b4 you've to be online b4 being able to set destination and one won't be able to do that if you're in a surge area. |
