What a lot of people fail to understand is that Big Brother is a money making venture. The housemate that brings in the most money for Multichoice wins. In other words, the most popular person wins. Not the most entertaining. Not the most intelligent. And certainly not the most talented.

If you like be the most boring and talentless human being on earth and just sit around doing nothing in the house. If you are popular with the fans that are subscribing to Dstv and those paying to vote via SMS, you stand a good chance of winning. Some of the housemates recognize this and have put together badass PR teams on the streets and every social media platform. Sadly, any housemate that hasn’t done this will never ever win. All the housemates had the opportunity to do this before moving to the house, so there is no excuse for any housemate that has not done this effectively.

Some housemates will build up their fan base from scratch because viewers find them interesting and likeable but there’s no way they can compete with the housemates that have planted their PR teams everywhere (and the PR guys are successfully convincing people to vote for their housemates). It’s just not possible.

The key to a successful PR campaign here is selling a good story that people can relate to.

and to all Laycon fans,let them call you names.... uneducated,useless,bandwagon apologist,rapist,rascals and all sorts....don't reply them with insults....just keep voting him...

Then I listen to his songs and listen to him speak and I loved the guy. So many people also fell in love because of his music. Then Saturday night party sealed everything. This guy was supposed to be gentle on the dance floor. He should be intimidated by the other guys on the dance floor. But nigga didn't care. He danced with whoever he liked. Laycon trended from that night till the next morning. Then new fans joined again. And so on.
