You guys shouting First Class students are products of La Cram La Pour are somewhat very wrong... While some may cram to attain this, others don't.

I can recall many students who cram crazily back then in school but none of they came out with First Class.

There are different reading approaches for different courses and besides, everybody GRACE no be the same.

Some people ranting here have either been frustrated by their school's system or they feel shortchanged for the efforts they put into academics.

They won't stay long in the teaching service. They will only use it as stepping stone and start looking for better offers. Second Class downwards will make teaching a career job.

The only reason I can advise a student to aim the first class hon in any Nigerian university is for him/her to win scholarship and grant for his PG program abroad.

First class is becoming so worthless in Nigeria.

The best thing as a Nigerian student is to engage in extracurricular activities or training outside one’s academics if one isn’t in a health related discipline.
Extracurricular activity/training like programming, handwork, photography, data analysis et al.

NIGERIA IS GONE!!!

Which turnaround? It only shows the extent our country has retrogress such that First Class graduates are now seeking to be secondary school teachers

That's if some of them won't be sent to primary school all in the name of earning salary monthly..

First Class those good old days in Nigeria were absorbed as GAs.

You can't come out with First class with your body and cash

How many lecturer you wan Bleep, how many courses you go do throughout your 4/5 years stay, some lectures will Bleep you and dash you C or D.

Let's give it to dem.. First class no be beans

I know a few of them and I must say they put in HARD work, they invested so much time reading, cramming or whatever you call it.

Na situation make crayfish bend if not dropouts and dullards won't be mocking excellent students

Even at that, it's not easy

If it was easy, everyone will be cramming and pouring to make a first class

Truth is, you cannot make a first class and be a dunce
I swear, the way people talk about cramming is annoying. If it is very easy, let everybody use it to get first class na.At least even if it doesn't really help in Naija,it will help you when it comes to getting scholarship abroad.
If you check well, you will notice that people that call cramming an easy stuff, most times end up coming out with second class lower.

But it still not easy to cram and pour.
A dull student cannot cram and pour hope you know.
Lol, memory is different from intelligence. There are lot retards with exceptional memory, and geniuses with terrible or average memory.
The two are mutually exclusive.

There is huge difference BTW being intelligent and knowing how to teach, ability to teach is a talent. In Nigeria coming out with first class doesn't proof you are intelligent there is mass sorting of papers and bribing of lecturers both in cash and in kind,if you can give your body to the lecturers and sort your exam papers if their is another grade after first class they will give you.Sex for mark lecturers quickly comes to mind.
Bro you can't sort n give sex n come out with First class in Nigerian universities.... Impossible

it isn't worthless. You put the blame on lecturers and ignore the fact that Nigerian students are substandard. Take a look at the jamb cut off, 140 and the likes. 140 out of 400 technically 39% which is a failure. Yet that's what must be done for Nigerians to get admissions.
