I understand you my dear but I'll advice you get admission letter into a course you think will show career progression, but study your dream course when you eventually get study permit.. This will cost you 2 application fees but I think it's better than having to forge any document.

On the other hand, you can use your letter of explanations to the VO to extensively explain why you want to change career.. I beleive that truth is the only strong ground to stand on.. All the best

Okay.... thanks alot for your candid advice

How does a 1 yr program not qualify for PR. This is untrue.
Anon123:

YES!
At least a 2yrs program gets you a 3yrs PGWP. Mind you a 1yr program doesnt qualify you for a PR but a 2yrs. So if you go ahead with the 30weeks/7months program, it means you need to enrol for an additional program before the end of thr 1st program to make it 2yrs.

It’s never impossible to get PR with a year of study but it’s highly unlikely.
It’s a point system and the higher your points , the higher chances of you getting the PR.

It is important to know your CRS score if you intend to use the Express Entry route eventually to get your PR after studies in Canada. The express entry route requires a program of at least 8 months and 8 months of physical presence in Canada to be able to claim points for Canadian education. People get PR as federal skilled workers within months of graduating. To say that it is impossible is false. To say that it is a bigger safety net to go for a 2 year program for a 3 yr pgwp is true. It helps to apply through the Canadian Experience class. Within 3 years you can get a 1 year work experience under the appropriate NOC and apply through the CEC.

I never said it’s impossible tho, I only said it’s highly unlikely and we are still saying the same thing with the points thingyyy.

Hello everyone,
I have a question to ask, someone who graduate with a graduate certificate in Canada, can he or she use that certificate to apply for a master's program in Canada?

Hello everyone, Please I have some questions to ask.

1. My school is still saying you must not start online classes without a study permit, even after I’ve explained that IRCC is only issuing AIP to Visa applicants for now. They gave me till September 20 to see if I’ll get the study permit, else I should defer. Do you advice I defer now or just wait till September to see if anything changes.

2. If you defer your admission to January after receiving AIP, would it affect your study permit approval? Maybe purpose of visit or something.

3. Since you would have a new LOA and some changes would be made to ur application. Would VO’s request for a new bank statement or anything.

I am only waiting for biometrics. I’ve gotten medical request, passed and gotten AIP. Please what’s your advice for me.

Please I need help on this

I confirmed from my bank (UBA) before submitting, that the VO can only access the duration i permitted them to state.. So the VO will only be able to see for himself on the bank's portal but to the limit of duration I permitted

Thanks!

Hello Osemigho,

It only allows them to view the transactions (inflows and outflows) and balance within the stipulated duration (6 months or 1yr) as requested by the customer.

The Mybankstatement works with a network server that enables the customer care representative creates a portal for the customer. The BS will be uploaded and thereafter generates the Ticket ID and Password. This is my experience with Access bank.

Not all bank branches are familiar with the Mybankstatement and as such may not be able to help. I understand that with GTB internet banking, one can easily generate it without in-person assistance from the bank.

In conclusion, the VO will not know that funds was moved except an updated BS or Mybankstatement is requested. However, each bank HQ have their respective ways of attending to the embassy's verification request and compliance.

All the best

Thanks!

Hi guys, I just got a letter from my school addressed to IRCC representatives stating my course can be done online and I already accepted that my program should be delivered online. I haven’t gotten AIP yet and I was thinking I should raise a webform to let them know about the letter I received and ask for an update.
Application submitted : June 20.

Reject or change it! You will not get PGWP with a course that can be completed online. You don’t need and can’t get a study permit for a course that can be completed online! I hope you didn’t ask for it. So, Reject it or Change your course immediately. Be nice about the rejection though.

Nope I didn’t ask for it and it wouldn’t be completed online. It’s stated in the letter that It is anticipated that in-person classes for this program may resume as early as January 2021 and I will be expected to attend classes on campus to meet curriculum learning requirements.

Hmmm... Instead of accusing me for the bolded why not give me a link that says a 1yr program qualifies you for a PR.. Stop arguing when you have little to no proof to your claim. I dont get why people here are not constructive when they are not in agreement to something, why must they lash out.

No it's not. Mark my post cause I'm going for 1yr and you'll see how it works.
Everything is based on CRS points.
Age is there, Educational Qualification is there, Canadian education is there, IELTS is there, lastly Canadian work experience is there and in some case Lmia is there.

If the above doesn't work, while studying in Canada, a new pilot might be launched and since you're in Canada, you can easily take advantage of it.

Everything boils down to information, like Noel Abi usually say, just worry about getting your SP approved, then leave the rest

Hello @ all please would it be possible for me to send IRCC another LOA from another university because i got admission at Holland college and they have refuse to defer my admission to January or September 2021. My program is starting September 2020 and i am thinking of applying to others schools and gain admission from them and then possibly send the new LOA to IRCC via webform. Thanks

Yes, it is possible to get a master's admission with a very good result and good academic referral on completion of your PGC.

Are you thinking of coming to Canada, complete college and then go for master's?
