Lots of evidence shows that this year's enlistment will be really massive..

That's by the way, pls, during medicals wad type of blood pressure machine do dey use? Is it the digital type, analog (that has the reading gear looking like a wrist watch) or the capillary tube type that has a Mercury in it?

I'm asking this because, I have discovered that their reading accuracy usually vary.
lol bro it’s the same number they can accommodate they’ll still take... I don’t know how many they picked for Dssc last time but SSC was 500 which means they would shortlist 60 per state again....then bp Machine is the mercury one... that’s what they use at all bp points .. it’s checked at 3 different points if I remember correctly...the digital one isn’t as accurate

Its better they use that digital one and pray it favours you because most times if the result is inconclusive, they'll review you with the manual one. That digital ones mistake always favour people.

lol I get am and it gives me 4 different results if I check it 4 times but its usually correct with the final (bp normal or abnormal) reply... Cos I tested someone who had it and it was saying bp abnormal but with different results... they use the mercury own and it’s best to test with it weekly before you go... it’s like #50 naira to check per time

Well, from my findings, d digital one is actually more accurate apart from the fact that it's the costliest, it also measures irregularities in heart bit n pulse

Thanks, BP varies sha... The result u have now, will definitely not be d same result u will tomorrow, bur it will be within range. That's d reason it's advisable to take 3 readings n den calculate d average.

The mistake people usually do it to allow d armband in tightened in their arm after first reading, the correct thing is to loosen it n wait for 2-3 min b4 taking d next reading, dis will allow blood to flow thro nerves dat might have bin closed during d first reading.

I pray you make it this time, Sir. N definitely, u will

It's my prayers army review the age requirement this time around both for SSC/DSSC. This age issue has cut down alot of dreams, sh1t used to be 30/35 respectively. Army I take God beg una, make una shock us pleasantly this year. Fasten your seat belts as preparations are already in top gear for this year's exercise.

For DSSC 25, na 365 they picked.
Please the 60 per state is not clear to me. because it would exceeds the 500.

Well, from my findings, d digital one is actually more accurate apart from the fact that it's the costliest, it also measures irregularities in heart bit n pulse

Data analysis of 218 study subjects showed the mean difference of the mercury reading and the test device was much less for aneroid (Manual) than that of the digital device for both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. MORE THAN 89% OF ANEROID READINGS AND LESS THAN 44% OF THE READINGS BY DIGITAL DEVICE HAD ABSOLUTE DIFFERENCE OF 5mm Hg.

When compared with the mercury readings for both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, SENSITIVITY AND SPECIFICITY OF ANEROID DEVICE WAS HIGHER (86.7% and 98.7%) THAN DIGITAL DEVICE (80% and 67.7%). RECEIVER OPERATING CHARACTERISTIC CURVE HAD LARGER AREAS UNDER THE CURVE FOR ANEROID DEVICE THAN DIGITAL DEVICE FOR BOTH SBP and DBP.

CONCLUSION

THE ANEROID DEVICE (MANUAL) HAD BETTER ACCURACY THAN THE DIGITAL DEVICE AS COMPARED TO MERCURY SPHYGMOMANOMETER AND SHOULD BE USED FOR PROPER AND BETTER MANAGEMENT.

But Guys wait oo, I still cant wrap my head around WHY IT IS TAKING THE FG AND THE ARMED FORCES TOO LONG TO ERADICATE THESE BOKO-ISWAP AND BANDITRY MENACE...

Now Let's look at the Interview Granted by the Former Central Bank of Nigeria Deputy Governor MAKING IT PUBLIC THAT ONE OF THE NORTHERN GOVERNORS IS THE COMMANDER OF BOKOHARAM IN NIGERIA... HOW CONVINCING IS THE AUTHENTICITY OF HIS CLAIM?? Check the link below for the Full Interview

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mM73x62N5Dg

Hope we haven't forgotten also, the Claim of Borno State Governor that THE ATTACK ON HIS CONVOY FEW WEEKS AGO WAS A MILITARY SABOTAGE OWING TO HIS EXPLANATION THAT IT WAS THE NIGERIAN ARMY PERSONNELS THAT WERE SHOOTING AT HIS CONVOY AND NOT THE BOKO BOYS...
What a Coincidence that This Had to Happen while The Governor was on his Way to Check on the IDPs to Distribute Food and Relief Materials to them...

NOW, THESE ARE MY OWN PERSONAL WORRIES...

(1) Will Changing of the Service Chiefs Yield THE EXPECTED RESULTS of Ending the Boko Madness??

(2) How soon is this BOKO-ISWAP and Banditry Menace Likely to be a Complete story of the past?

(3) As a prospective Candidate waiting to be Enlisted into the Nigerian Army, WHAT ARE YOUR INDIVIDUAL SUGGESTIONS AS PER HOW TO GO ABOUT RESTORING PEACE AND ORDER IN THE NORTH EAST AND NORT WESTERN SATES OF OUR DEAR COUNTRY??
Thus your number (3) the question nah Selection board standard oooh

(3) As a prospective Candidate waiting to be Enlisted into the Nigerian Army, WHAT ARE YOUR INDIVIDUAL SUGGESTIONS AS PER HOW TO GO ABOUT RESTORING PEACE AND ORDER IN THE NORTH EAST AND NORT WESTERN SATES OF OUR DEAR COUNTRY??
In summary
1) Long term strategic plan to properly fund and equip the military.
I'll Thinker with the way the military is being funded. A radical change needs to start from the top echelon (Military/Political) which will have a multiplier effect down the chain of command. We can't keep funding the military from the main national budget which in itself is a pitiable sum.
That being said, a security trust fund should be set up to serve as an alternative means of raising the much needed funds to prosecute this war which is in itself Assymetric in nature.
We should be spending nothing less than $2bn yearly on defence 60% of it going into Capital projects/weapons acquisition.
2) Restructure the security architecture of the country
Nigeria is one of the few countries in the world that have a centralised policing structure. This is counter productive because security of lives and properties is local meaning the indigenes/citizens of a locale know their environment better than someone from another place/region. In the US they have the County Police, Sheriff, State Police depts. This highly decentralised system ensures that locals are in charge of their domain because of their vast knowledge of the place.
The NPF and other paramilitary outfits
should be properly trained equipped to discharge their responsibilities as enshrined in the constitution. This way soldiers won't be seen doing policing duties which they're not trained for, which leads to many incidences of collateral damage. The soldiers should take on the terrorists and match on while other sister agencies come in to restore the civil space. This will enhance relationship and confidence btw the gov't and the Civil Populace.
3) Establish a community based Intelligence Network
Intelligence is not the ability to store information, but to know where to find it, process it timely and make it actionable in real time. Plan like RAW and Execute like MOSSAD
Lastly
4) Winning the peace
We should have a working template
for establishing a more effective division of labor between our military forces and a reinvigorated civilian capacity, while achieving the unity of direction lacking in previous efforts.

My humble Opinion/Piece.

More Wisdom Sir... My input on Ur Suggestions

(1) If we are to Increase our Miliatry support spending, then We must firstly Switch to a PRODUCING ENTITY Via which we start EXPORTING 9JA MADE MILITARY HARDWARES THAT ARE OF INTERNATIONAL ACCEPTABLE STANDARDS to at first, our sister african countries... Income generated from the sale can then now be Used to Purchase Sophisticated Weapons to combat the UNREST in the NE and NW.... THIS IS JUST THE SIMPLE APPROACH THAT MADE IT SO EASY FOR THE ADVANCED COUNTRIES TO SPEND HEAVILY ON THEIR MILITARY

As for the Security Trust Fund (STF), let's just put that aside coz we all know it will surely end like that of Dasuki Gate ($2.1bn)... If we are to be Sincere with ourselves, then I'd like to ask that:
(a) Are the Army Authorities being Sincere and Transparent enough with the LITTLE ALLOCATION earmarked to them??
(b) Using the Case study of the SECURITY VOTES BEING ALLOCATED TO EACH STATE, How Many Governors are Sjncere with its spending??

(2) I think that's why the CJTF were also Integrated to help fight the Insurgency in the NE... IMHO, I am fully in support of what Governor Zulum said the other time he was attacked that THERE IS SABOTAGE IN THE MILITARY AND UNLESS IT IS TACKLED, BOKO-ISWAP MENACE WILL STILL REMAIN AN ACTIVE FORCE.

Also don't let us forget the outburst of Mailari that A SITTING GOVERNOR IN THE NORTH IS THE COMMANDER OF BOKO HARAM IN NIGERIA... He was Callwd upon for Interrogation by the DSSC and He was Later Set free Afterwards, after which he Came out to Say Again that HE IS READY TO LAY DOWN HIS LIGE LIKE MANDELA DID...

Do we Now ignore All this RED FLAGS??

(3) Is it not this Same Nigeria that Maj Gen Enenche Said and I quote **WE KNOW THE SPONSORS OF BOKO HARAM BUT IT IS NOT THE DUTY OF THE ARMY TO MAKE AN ARREST, BUT RATHER THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES (NIA AND DSS)**...

My comment on this is just that We are still not Ready to End this Insurgency Menace..
