Hi guys, is it true that students who indicate that they want to personally sponsor their education in Poland during the application at the embassy stand a very slim chance of being granted visa? Need some clarifications from guys who have applied at the embassy and been granted visa or anybody who knows a thing or two about this pls...

Please I'm really curious, do you compulsorily need to legalize your documents at the polish embassy? Or you just legalize at the ministry of education and foreign affairs.
Asking for university of Warsaw precisely

Pls have u secured admission already ? If yes were u able to get recommendations/ reference letter from your school during this pandemic? I would like to know how u went about the other requirements cos am applying to the same university.

Please I would like to know when schools in Poland will start opening their applications for January Intake. What I see on most of their sites is August and I think that is for October Intake..

Please I’m new here. After getting admission.. what is the next thing to do? And about the authentication, will I have to go to Abuja to do that and come back.. then go to Abuja again for my interview? Is that how you guys have been travelling? Please I’m confused coz the distance between where I am and Abuja is not a small one

Look for other schools that don't require authentication before granting admission.

Please can someone kindly explain this to me I applied at Technical University of Lodz

Dear candidate,

Secondary School diploma with transcript of records with the Apostille or legalized in the country in which it was issued,
https://rekrutacja.p.lodz.pl/en/legalisation-and-apostille

Additionally, in case of foreigners covered by the provisions of nostrification, it is obligatory to send the legalized statement saying that the certificate/diploma allows to undertake the studies in Higher Education Institution (the rules on nostrification do not apply to citizens of EU, EEA, OECD, Ukraine, Belarus and China) - read more aboit it here (necessary documents - point no. 2).

I think what is been said is that you need to submit a secondary school diploma and transcripts that are authenticated by the MOE & MFA and also submit an eligibility letter that qualifies you to study too

My dear, pray you don't travel to Abuja more than 3 times.
I've been to Abuja once, and I have foreseen two more travels (7hrs long) to Abuja in the near future

Having gone through the process of authentication at the MOE and MFA by proxy, I'm here to debunk a few myths:

Student transcripts
Original student transcript the one with Not for official use is actually accepted at both ministries. I used my student transcript because I was not ready for the stress of getting the original ready in a short time and it was accepted.

Not just anyone can get your documents authenticated For four reasons:
1)The process of authentication requires the original of some very sensitive documents:
-Waec certificate
-Birth certificate
-Transcript
-Degree certificate

If you are like me that consider these documents highly sensitive, you obviously cannot leave the handling of these documents to strangers.

2) The workers of MOE derive joy in frustrating the efforts of people getting their documents authenticated by proxy so the process can be tasking and time consuming. You need someone trusted to do the follow up and running around because it is not a smooth ride at all.

3)The person also has to know what an authenticated document looks like so agents don't present you with fake authentication (yes, there's such a thing). For instance, the MOE first gave my representative an unsealed eligibility letter. He had to return it and ask for it to be sealed.

4)The person may charge you lots of money because like I said before, the process is time consuming and stressful. If you can entrust your money to strangers, by all means pay and hope for the best. The cost of authentication for me was about 30k and that didn't even cover the running around my friend did, plus printing as compared to when you do it yourself at the MOE with N300 per document and N800 per page at the MFA.

P.s: If you can avoid getting the documents authenticated by proxy, please do because it is faster, cheaper and easier when you do it yourself.

You need passport pictures
When you're sending your documents to someone, please remember to add passport pictures like 3-4 and also make three photocopies of each documents.

Laminated certificates
There's no need to delaminate your certificate before sending. Whoever is authenticating will tear a piece of the lamination from behind and sign.

Use a trusted courier to send your documents
I used GIG logistics to send my documents to Abuja and it took three days. They charged 4300 from their Jibowu office to Abuja and I feel it was worth it. Please don't entrust your certificates to drivers because you want to cut cost, it may end in premium tears.

I hope this helps someone

thank you for the information.

But if I'm doing the authentication my self how long will it take to get the eligibility letter from MOE and authentication at the ministry of foreign affairs.

And also how much should I budget. Thank you

Good morning people, I was about paying application and tuition fee to a fashion school in poland, then I thought about the Polish embassy not being opened for now cos of the pandemic.

Most of the questions you raised so far has been treated already. Read from page 1 and thanks us after page 102. It's not easy to keep repeating what have been already explained a number of times here. My brother/sister just read ok.

1.If you know your ways and it happens to be a lucky day for you, it can be done within 24-48hrs

For MOE, you'll spend like 3-4k, well same price range applies for MOF
