Seyi Makinde Today, we visited the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso to discuss the challenges in the hospital. I conveyed my approval on a number of these issues: 1. Payment of 2014 corrected CONMESS. 2. Payment of COVID-19 hazard allowance. 3. Increased subvention to cover payment of minimum wage, payment of 2016 and 2017 arrears as well as payment of the salaries of 177 members of staff who were recalled. 4. These payments will be made by the end of this month. 5. A team will screen the 46 staff members who were disengaged from next Monday, and if the screening is successful, they will be reinstated. 6. Implementation of a pilot study for semi-autonomy for selected secondary healthcare facilities. 7. Implementation of residency training and placement of doctors who have completed their residency training from 2021. I reiterated that although most of these issues were inherited from the previous administration, we are committed to resolving them while at the same time, ensuring that the good people of Oyo State reap all the benefits of good governance. www.facebook.com |

joyandfaith: Politics of Alao Akala made it so, Ogbomosho was only supposed to host the university only while Oshogbo host the teaching hospital with annex in Oyo.....Akala abandoned Oyo teaching hospital and built that of Ogbomosho 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Seyi Makinde Made History As He Visited LTH, OGBOMOSO by joyandfaith: 7:31am On Aug 13, 2020 |
Difrent: that is now history. it is more than that. ladoja proposed 4 satellite hospitals-ogbomoso, okeOgun, oyo and ibarapa. akala gave okeogun and ibarapa polytechnic each. he converted proposed satellite hospital in ogbomoso to main hospital with annex in oyo and moved for sole ownership of university by oyo state. the problem is annex in oyo town was being abandoned but I think gsm is working on it. talk is still going on issues of joint or sole ownership of the university 1 Like |
