Most Nigerians don't share their travel plans until they have safety arrived at their destination especially those traveling abroad.

I've heard stories of those who told people their travel plans and got turned down at the airport for no reason. others slept with people on the same bed but didn't tell them they were traveling.

What are some of your stories? grin

So you expect some to tell people so that village people can stop them.

True, there are cases that shocks me o. I read some on twitter I was shocked.

Sometimes even people who sleep in the same bed as you don't have to know.

I saw a story of a man, whose white boss went abroad and sent him a file with visa and plane ticket. His boss was waiting for him at the airport.

He called his friends to celebrate and drink beer. He went to his room and open the file but couldn't find the visa. He even called the police but they friends denied that they didn't see the visa.

That it's now about 6 years now o. Imagine

I'm very sure it's his friends that carried it and swore that even though they will kill them they won't release it

Ahn ahn! small small abeg.
I know agenda must agend but what do you mean by they sent him file with visa? Do you even know what a visa looks like? Do you think it is a detachable document that can be put in a "file"?
If you are going to tell high tales to support your paranoia, at least make it believable.

When I was traveling for my Masters, I told all and sundry and it made it easier because even as colleagues in the bank, I had a few other colleagues who were in similar positions although for different countries. The school I finally attended, the application fee was paid for by my unit head. Today we all have traveled and no big deal. My take is that it helps you keep yourself in check.

Now when visiting Nigeria, I don't tell my folks because I love the surprises when they come to the car and they see me. But they know all about me from time to time.

People do that coz humans are very wicked, and you wouldn't decode what they have in stock for you.
The Twitter story is untrue, i would've believed that if it were in 1996 but this is 2020.
