genius43:Team Redmi Note 5 till Xiaomi releases Redmi Note 11 or 12 |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by genius43(m): 10:10am On Aug 13, 2020 |
Alfred234: Like we keep saying, updates is not by seniority. It depends on the team handling the update and how stable it is. For instance Mi 9T Pro/Redmi K20 Pro got MIUI 12 before Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. If we follow seniority, should all other devices under Xiaomi who have stable update ready wait because Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro haven't gotten MIUI 12. If your device has a stable build it is pushed out in phases the wider public release like the Mi 9T and just yesterday RN8 Pro. Left for me I rather have a stable build than a bug filled build. Worse especially for device that the number of updates they will get will start getting reduced. The last time my device got an update was MIUI 11 in late November 2019 but do I whine here everyday, it is also listed to receive MIUI 12 but I am still patient. Does saying this make me an agent or paid promoter? 15 Likes |

All this war, insults and unnecessary arguments because of updates?? Epic! |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Alfred234(m): 10:37am On Aug 13, 2020 |
Elder0001:It all boils down to the users, some care about updates while some don't, every customer has a right to customer satisfaction and since Xiaomi were the ones who promised the update i don't see any problem in users making demands for it. As for me i have started to care less about Android updates sef because we haven't received any huge change in Android OS since Android 7.1 all we get is updated emojis, new notification panel and gestures and the OS keep getting bigger that now you need at least 4gb RAM to enjoy the full Android experience. Security patches are more important to me right now. |

Alfred234:did u notice these bugs on your note 8 pro? I never had them on mine. Bug to to honest there can never be a 100% but free update,EVER!!. Even iPhones and pixel phones have had updates that brick devices and more. There's just no way to account for millions of devices but beta testing and wave updates at least help reduce the problems or help them find and fix bugs much more quickly. 1 Like |

genius43:This is why every user is different, just because you understand the way these things work doesn't mean others will be like you. Some people whine about the slightest things on the phone, some of which are even their fault but they won't agree. If you go to Gsmarena and read the comments section of your phone you'll be surprised at the kind of things people are complaining about and you'll start to wonder if it's not the same phone you are using. Point is people will always have issues with their phones and if you try to help them out but they don't want to reason with you just leave them. 3 Likes |

sureteeboy: This Xiaomi new method of sellers not listing Chinese Exclusive devices on AliExpress just tire me. Redmi 10X 5G/Pro - Not listed there, same thing with the Mi 10 youth and this new Redmi K30 Ultra and Mi 10 Ultra. |

A big shout out to Omnivision for the big improvements they have made to their Camera Sensors. The Mi 10 Ultra(Main and I think Ultrawide), Mi 10 lite/Mi 10 youth, Redmi 10X 5G/Pro. I used to have issues with the Selfie sensor they made for the RN5 series but all is good now. Another people coming up is TCL. Produced the display for Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro and improved on it with the Mi 10 Ultra. 2 Likes |

tidedroid:There was a bug when i updated to Android 10, the auto brightness stopped working and also the volume during calls was very low but they sent an update to fix it. You might not notice the bug in an update if the bug is only on a particular feature that you probably don't use often so you'd feel that the update doesn't have bugs. I have received 2 updates since Android 10, the latest was MIUI 12 which a lot of people are still complaining about it having a lot of bugs but I'm yet to notice any of the bugs they have been complaining about. |

techmaster092: E don do bros. You've made your point and the matter has already been laid to rest. If A10 and MIUI 12 doesn't come for my RN8 before September, then I'd be truly disappointed. For now, just enjoy what you've. |
