What's all the fuss about updates sef? I am still on the version that came with my phone even though update notifications have been popping up. Why? My phone is working well and I am Ok with it.

The annoying thing is, some people will complain about not getting updates and when they finally get it, they will still come here to complain that the update did this or that to their phone.

I no blame una sha, na Xiaomi dey spoil una with frequent updates.

Seriously me too need that mi dialler, am not just digging this google dialler.
I did download the mi contacts and dialler, it installed fine but whenever I want to use it, it crashes with these messages .

Na so e dey start because of small update, English and insults don full everywhere.

I understand that there's a reason for the delay, probably because of stability issues but it just feels like Xiaomi is picking the devices randomly for updates especially the Redmi series. I feel like there should be a pattern to how updates are being sent not random selection. For example now the Redmi Note 9 has received MIUI 12 while the Redmi Note 9s and Note 9 Pro hasn't and i wonder what should be the justification for such because left to me the Redmi Note 9s and Note 9 Pro are supposed to receive MIUI 12 before the Note 9

With all this ranting up and down, I realized why they said 'life no balance'. The anticipated update came yesterday, sharp sharp I subbed for 2gb. Low and behold I started my update downloading in peace, got to 50% I was filled with anxiety but to my greatest surprise it got to 99% and it stopped. That was how I wasted my 1.9gb for nothing. I now realized it is better late than sorry �

Please guys, I want to buy either Redmi Note 8 or Note 9 from one of the sellers here but a very vital feature I need is the Call recording feature and I want to know which of them has that feature so I can decide. Or is there something I need to do? My Samsung doesn't do it but someone mentioned that Xiaomi Phones have Call recording.

Both Note 8 and 9 don't have call recording feature. Although, an update from Google themselves is being rolled out to fix that.

Another way is to buy Redmi Note 8, unlock bootloader and flash an Indian ROM or a MIUI custom ROM on it.

If it is Redmi 8 or a large update, sometimes it is best to download manually and install.

I will wait till MIUI 12 is ready and steady. No time to rush.
