Talking about why he was against Pay cut.
Talking about Arteta been unfair to him
Talking about not leaving arsenal.

And to be fair he seems to have valid reason(s) except maybe the Arteta own.

He doesn't have any bro, he is chasing clout
About the paycut why didn't he state his reasons then and about not leaving arsenal. No body wants him he used his own to destroy that greedy Ramsey too

During the pay cut, he can't give reasons then cos the corona issues was high. No one to grant him interview then. Seeing that the reason why the pay cut was to pay staff, yet they(arsenal) still retrenched many staff, I think he was proved right. Moreover, he wasn't the only one who declined, but why was only him named?

Before he gave his reasons today, I read an article then saying the 3 players who refused was because they weren't certain/sure what arsenal want to do with the wage cut(like arsenal didn't convince them enough). And so far, they seemed to be proved right.

Lol for the 2nd one, he said he loves arsenal and he wants to respect his contract. Isn't that what most clubs wants from their players? He said he's ready to play, and loves to play for arsenal for the duration of his contract grin grin grin.

Naim fault bdat??

They should just reconcile. If he wants to play out his contract, they should give him a fair chance, who knows a buyer might come in Jan. If not, they will still pay him to sit on the bench.

Exactly..
He says so himself. I feel the alienating out of the squad is what is paining ozil. So he's using that to punish arsenal since he has nothing to lose.
They should just find a way biko, else na we go suffer

He has something to lose o. Because if he is not played for a whole year, it could lead to the end of his career. Otherwise huge pay cut.

Lol.. You'll be kidding if you think a whole ozil won't see a club who will offer him contract as a free agent.
Esp in Turkey where he's revered, e sure me say one club will offer him contract cos he's free, even tho it'll not be this present wage. He knows that that's why he wants to milk as much as possible before settling for less

I have no doubt he can get a club. Which includes Eyimba FC cheesy without playing for a year he would be lucky to get 100k per week. Even MLS clubs that love pensioners would not admit him easily.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by mostob(m): 8:57pm On Aug 13, 2020
“My position is clear, I’m here through to the last day of our agreement and I’ll give everything I have for this club. Situations like these will never break me, they only make me stronger”
“I showed in the past that I can come back into the team and I will show it again. I’ll decide when I go, not other people. I didn’t sign for two or three years, I signed for four and that should be respected by everyone.”
“Things have obviously been difficult but I love Arsenal, I love to work there, I love the people in the club, the real people, those I’ve been with for a long time, and I love London, it’s my home. Whatever happened in the last two seasons, I’m happy and very strong mentally.”
“I never give up on anything. I want to help my team and I’ll fight for it. If I’m fit, I know what I can do on the pitch.”
Conversations with Arteta:
“I can’t talk about my private conversations with the coach,” Ozil says. “But I can tell you I know my body well.”
“I was fit enough to play every game before the break and, apart from a small injury, it was the same after. My daughter was born while we were off so maybe I was not always sleeping perfectly, but this is normal. I actually had more energy and excitement to play because of her.”
“As a player, you sometimes have bad days and can’t always be happy, especially if you’re not playing. When you know how good you are and you know you’re not going to be picked, it’s hard to be at 100 per cent and, of course, you can get disappointed.”
“This is my profession, it’s what I love doing: being on the pitch, playing matches, showing the people, helping the club and my team. I fully respect the coach’s decision but I believe these things should mainly be decided on the pitch. After the restart, I wasn’t given a chance
to show what I can do. You don’t play 10 games in a row if you’re unfit, not good enough or don’t behave well. If I played these games badly and was then left out completely for that reason then I might understand, but this was not the case.”
Pay Cuts:
“As players, we all wanted to contribute, but we needed more information and many questions were unanswered. Everyone was fine with a deferral while there was so much uncertainty.”
“I would have been OK to take a bigger share and then a cut if required, once the football and financial outlook was clearer. But we were rushed into it without proper consultation. For anyone in this
situation, you have a right to know everything, to understand why it is happening and where the money is going. But we didn’t get enough details, we just had to give a decision. It was far too quick for something so important and there was a lot of pressure.” This was not
fair, especially for the young guys, and I refused. I had a baby at home and have commitments to my family here, in Turkey and in Germany to my charities, too, and also a new project we started to support people in London that was from the heart and not for publicity.”
“People who know me know exactly how generous I am and, as far as I’m aware, I was not the only player who rejected the cut in the end, but only my name came out. I guess that’s because it is me and people have been trying for two years to destroy me, to make me unhappy, to push an agenda they hope will turn the supporters against me and paint a picture that is not true. Possibly the decision affected my chances on the pitch, I don’t know. But I’m not afraid to stand up for what I feel is right
and when you see what has happened now with the jobs, maybe I was.”
Emery wanting Ozil out:
“It’s hard. When a player wants to leave and the club says no, the player must accept it unless they find a solution together. So when a club wants a player to leave and the player says
no, the club must accept it unless a solution can be found together. I don’t want to leave, so that’s it. In 2018, I had plenty of options that would have earned me far more money as a free agent, but I committed myself to Arsenal because this was the club and the fanbase I wanted to play for. In that sense, nothing has changed. Mikel knows my quality and I will be ready when he needs me. I’m not going into pre-season thinking, ‘Final year, I can chill I know I don’t play’. These are not easy times for Arsenal and I want to help.”
“I still have a lot to offer and I train as hard as I can, whether I’m in the squad or not. If you’re called in, you have to be prepared. I’m doing all the necessary work on the pitch, with the fitness coach and in the gym. This is all I can do.”
Stats showing Arsenal play better without Ozil:
“If you consider the circumstances, you cannot use these statistics. If you have to, it is more accurate to look at the data for my whole Arsenal career and also from the 10 games after Mikel was appointed not so bad for someone
who had barely been picked for a year and a half. People will always love or hate you, and the main thing is the people who know you and what they think. What the people outside say about my play or my character is irrelevant they just speak bullshit to make publicity and they
know by using my name it will bring them attention. Do it as much as you like. I don’t care, or listen to people who don’t know me. I didn’t get here because of them but because of the family and friends who I trust and are always behind me.”

ozil has lost this battle.
the fans has taken sides with arteta already, he should start looking for a new club or be prepared to spend next season on vacations around the world.

the last time this ozil matter came up was because of that Aston Villa match that we ended up losing, if we lost that fa cup final to Chelsea, I believe that the ozil matter would have been in all the news media again, but thankfully we won and no one gave a fvck about him or guenduozi

Arteta and Ozil were getting along well till after the break. It was so sudden. With time ozil isn't in the squad anymore. No news, nothing.

It just doesn't add up
