In other news, the weather is beautiful today and I’m having a beer outside with my colleagues. Some of you have been praying for me or wishing me well and I can feel it. Good things have been happening to me lately and I want you guys to know. So thank you.

Remember I told you guys that I could not rent my own apartment because of my Schufa problem? I found an apartment last week and I signed the contract. I now have my own apartment and don’t have to share with anybody. The Landlord didn’t worry about the Schufa. I have other testimonies but I’m still thinking if I should share them or not. I’ll give it time.

I just want to say, thank you for the kind wishes and for riding with me. Even though I’m not obligated to write these things, we are benefitting from each other in some way. I am sharing, I am healing, you are listening, we are learning, and we are succeeding.
I’ll be out of Germany for a few days but I’ll check in from time to time. I just may not be able to write long texts until I get back.

Next, I’ll talk about my travel story to Germany and my first months here, including my student life. Also about other countries, plus more pictures. Thanks

I don’t even think @drnoel is in Germany. Compared to blacks population in Germany how many are in professional (degree wise) jobs let alone a highly regulated field like medicine.

I really didn't make the observation I did so I can come here to confirm or not confirm ur suspicion. U have every rights to ur opinion. Pls leave me out of it. The fact that the OP hasn't met many doesn't mean there ain't or there are few. Berlin is a big city, probably the biggest in Germany. I doubt the OP has gone to every regions of Berlin to be able to say for sure. My brother worked in Berlin once and did say he saw a few, this was like 4-5 years back. Anyways, it doesn't matter how many there are. My apologies to the OP for derailing his thread.

Thanks but there’s nothing to correct. The keyword is “rarely” and “almost never”. I did not say there are no black doctors in Germany. If they are scarce and very few, then it constitutes the “rarely”. I appreciate your opinion though.

Yes I noted that rarely u used hence my comment. In the hospital I am currently in, there are around 5 black healthcare professionals I have seen so far and it's a small hospital. Anyways, thanks for the reply. I do follow ur posts sometimes. I saw some of the stuffs u mentioned in Frankfurt, that was some years back.
Anyways cheers!

Hello mr Danielhouston

I must commend you for this very beautiful work that you have put together for us here just for free, you are a very rare gem

I have really learned so much . I only found out that Nairaland was this informative from a friend when I told him that I have plans of traveling out (Germany) and this thread is actually one of the best things that has happened to me since I came back to Nairaland, because I actually had an account as far back as 2012

Please mr Daniel Houston, I’d really like you to through more light on the ausbildung visa . That’s what I’d really like, as i have just HND and that can’t be used for masters

And less I forget, congrats on your new personal apartment

You'll have to learn how to communicate in german up to b2 level, and write b1 and b2 exams, you can use german b1 certificate to process the ausbildung stuff, but make sure you pass both b1 qnd b2.

Try to find language schools nearby, assuming you stay in Ibadan i could link you up, or Osun state I'll link you up to a school where you'll get to learn it at a cheaper fee

please, those in Germany, how true is the statement below, i copied it from another website

There are exceptions to this tuition-
free rule, however. If you don’t finish
your degree course on time and you
study in Bremen, Lower Saxony,
Saarland, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt or
Thuringia, you may have to pay
tuition fees.

Some pictures of Berlin to help you get through the night.

Those daylight pictures were taken at 9:00 pm. Can you see how bright it is at 9:00pm during summer? It starts to get dark from 10:00pm. Enjoy and sleep well.

Please what do you have to say about the fact that Nigerian students are hardly given AD these days?

Does Germany intend to stop giving Nig students visa?

Goodmorning Daniel...

Please Daniel, do you think one can halt his or her masters program for like 6-1year and later continue it when they are ready, on the bases of tangible excuse?

I don’t understand your question. What is 6-1 year?

What is AD?
Visa appointment dates at the embassy (German embassy).

Germany has refused to give students appointment dates since December 2019, till now.

Help who? in Germany? You can be eating sand and nobody will care. You can even be getting beat up and nobody will move to help you. They won’t even look at you. In the worst case, they’ll call the police.
