That's why. You are supposed to extract the recovery.img from inside the zip file and paste it in the folder.

Yes, u extra the Orange fox recovery zip file first, paste the image to adb platform tool and follow same commands of flashing Recovery,,,, fastboot device...etc.
U copy d whole Orange fox recovery zip file to ur phone internal memory and flash it as soon as ur boot into Orange fox recovery for first time.

Press volume up and power button together. Once the phone goes off and on, release the power button while still holding on to the volume up button till it boots to custom Recovery.

Also, from the screenshot, apart from WhatsApp and browsing, android system also took a large chunk of battery about 24% (this can be attributed to bad network or themes and the likes). Now imagine if android system was at a low of 5% do you think he won't achieve 12-13hrs of SOT with that?

there was a time in the day i connected my Bluetooth with music player for like an hour, i guess that was what causes the android system to consume much power like that.

Part of it. But on a normal day, android system can consume much power even if you don't use Bluetooth.

Just keep hard rebooting whenever such happens. In my own case, I managed to keep android system at less than 5%.

I hope he can solve the android system ish and post screenshots, difference won't be much anyway.

Even my 3 year old note 4 will achieve 12-14hrs on browsing, but that doesn't mean battery is fantastic.

You also forgot the take account of weather conditions around him.
