rebeccausoro: I think you have to pay your tuition from it. If I were you, I will see if I can open and operate an account in Canada. I believe your school can do a direct deposit into that account. The way naira Dey bleed now, I am not eager to convert any dollars to naira except I know I won’t need it soon. Naira is projected to fall to 500 per dollar in the next one year. About the question, I think you should be able to deposit into a domiciliary account. Check with your bank. All the best. 2 Likes |

Hello Please I need advice from all the experienced people here. I submitted my online study permit application since May 29 2020 for resumption in September 3 and I haven’t gotten any response yet. Not even for medicals. I sent an email and I was informed that most VO’s are under staffed and the application will be processed in due time. But the deadline for full tuition is 14 August. This caused me to defer my admission to Jan 2021, which has been approved. My issue now is, do I have to inform the VO of the deferral? Will it have any negative effect on my application? I’m very hopeful that it will end in praise but on the other hand if it doesn’t, is it advisable to reapply for another permit? Thank you. |

JustMellow:Thank you sir. The reason why I decided I want to go for the diploma course is because of the fee, its cheaper than PGD/C Secondly, most of the PGD/C i have seen are 1year program, and I want a 2year program, in order to get 2 to 3 years PGWP, and that's is what most diploma offer. The reason I wanted to go for management related courses is because it will be a little bit easier to secure a job in a qualified NOC if i want to apply for PR. Moreso, I have more than 2 years work experience as a CSO in a financial institution. I will still appreciate your contribution and direction. Thank you |

beeodun24: Wait for your school to send the updated admission letter for January den you send via webform. Google "Canadian webform", the rest is easy to fill and attach the new admission letter. |

Bestvibe2020: Defer your admission to January and send the updated admission to IRCC. Though your application is still at a baby stage but nevertheless defer the admission. 1 Like |

dayjeee: For the bolded, you will have issues when it gets to applying for visa. Imagine a VO sees your BSc certificate and then sees you have an admission for a diploma. Theres no career/academic progression there. Thats an easy denial "Purpose of visit". I will encourage you to stick with a PGC. |

NairaLuck: Unfortunately it is not possible they will increase your limit on your naira denominated card. You can only open a foreign currency account/request for a foreign currency card and use it for your payment. Good luck! 1 Like |

dayjeee: I am afraid the reason for your choice of programme is lame and could amount to fruitless effort. I will suggest you apply for GDP/C. You can check Cape Breton University (Post-Baccalareate Diploma in Business Analytics, Business Management and Supply Chain Management). Good luck! 4 Likes |

Good day guys... I'm in a situation here. I submitted a Web form about two weeks ago with no response. As at that time, my application was one month and a few days old. Note: since application, July 1st, only got BVL and since then nothing. Now, I went back to website in a bid to submit another Web form (enquiring about an update with regards to my application) but after putting all my details and clicking next, the page never advances. I have tried twice in the last one week. The same problem persist. What could be the problem? Thanks for your anticipated response. |

Helo guys, I judging from the input of our experienced gurus here, one can easily deduct that going for 1yr PGC will be hard to get PR. please gurus my questions are: Can 3 semesters of study qualify as a 2 year programme? the college offers 2 semesters of course work and the third semester is for co-op/ unpaid placement. can it fly as regards in getting PR as study? Secondly, my second choice of school offers 2 years of study. the first 3 semesters are for course work while the last semester is for co-op. though the programme of studies in this one clearly stated that it's a 2 year programme. N/B my questions are as regards to PR issues, so as not to be caught off guard. 1 Like |

dayjeee: Hello Dayjeee, If the reasons you gave are the motivating factors for wanting to do a Diploma program, it will be well-advised you opt for PGD/C or Post Baccalaureate Diploma program if Master isn't an option. I think it will be better if your approach of reasoning comes logically outside what you gave. All the best 1 Like |
