BCS is a professional examination that takes places twice a year and it can be used as an additional programme to earn more points.

The certificate is called Certificate in IT and it comprises of 3 modules (Software development, information system and Computer network technology) and that's about £130.

You have to pass all three (40% in each module) to get the certificate and the exam normally comes out in 12 weeks but the pandemic made the results of March candidates delay till ending of August.

There's a telegram group containing past and prospective students and a drive with the syllabus and textbooks so you can have a glimpse of what you are about to go into. There are also good tutors incase you aren't IT inclined and you need a help in learning the basics.

There are centers in Lagos, Abuja and other states i cannot remember. Check page 1 for more info and Google them. The next exam would be taking place in November, 2020

Hi, thank you. I read page 1 but the isn’t enough and the WhatsApp link doesn’t exist anymore.
Does anyone in the house have an idea of a new WhatsApp or telegram group to aid new comers please?

My friend who's an accompany spouse with Bsc wanted to add more points to his husband who's a PA by taking Cima as an additional certificate but after stimulating two or more certificates, she noticed it's only one point that was added to the overall point

Please, someone should correct her if she's wrong.

Access bank NGN445 to $. NGN 335 to CAD. Limit 1000USD. Only bank with such debit card limit RN except Sterling (who charges aboki rate).

Or Dom account. NGN475 to $ from Aboki. Consider the turn around time to open account and receive a debit card (i doubt dom account debit cards are instant).
Having this will be advantageous in the long run anyways.

Getting the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business requires you to sit for papers F1-3, as well as the Foundation in Professionalism module. You can search the forum for more details, or visit the ACCA website.

Or pay into a Naira account and get it paid in Canada same day. Use a Nigerian address to avoid tax.

No I don't. But my occupation is in demand there. Must I have a job offer before I become eligible?
Liispa:

Its probably your browser, just checked it.
Do you have a job offer in BC?

You need a job offer for all, with the exception of the Post-graduate stream (you need a Masters or doctorate in a BC institution). Please go through their website for more understanding

Should accompany spouse who has gotten Bsc take another certificate course to claim additional points to boost her husband's points who's a PA?

My friend who's an accompany spouse with Bsc wants to do Cima to boost spouse's points.

After stimulating her Bsc first, she later stimulates two or more certificates and sees a point different.

She says if it's just a point different that there should be no need going for the extra certificate.

Please, someone should advise accordingly.

Accompanying spouse BSc versus 2 degrees is only 1 CRS point difference.

U sef dun see am na...spouse's two or more degrees adds only 1 points, spouse MSc adds only 2 points. So the question is; is 1 or 2 points worth the money, time & stress?
If the he/spouse has not maxed out IELTS scores, then the energy & attention should be on that in my opinion.

It doesn't worth it at all.

[quote author=jinnyz post=88041779]I just want to add that if you live in Nigeria and you buy dollar and deposit the CASH into your USD account, you cannot transfer that money abroad through electronic transfer. You can only withdraw the USD cash or use ATM abroad this is the new CBN guideline.

It's better to get someone that will transfer dollar to your account rather than depositing cash. You can always confirm this from your bank.

I saw the above statements as I was going through previous post of April.

It's absolutely NOT true. CBN policy says we can deposit USD cash into our account and make an electronic transfer of 10k USD maximum in two weeks.

That means, one can only make a maximum transfer of 20k USD in a month.

Hi everyone,
Pls in the use of gift deed for POF, do you need to provide statement of account of the giver?

Secondly, if the wife is the PA and majority of POF is from hubby's account into a joint account, do you still need to provide hubby's statement of account?

Thank you in advance

Hi good people,

I just discovered this thread and I have few questions.

Can going to a truck driving school in Nigeria increase ones prospect of provincial nomination even if ones major experience is in another field?

Thanks

No need. The principal applicant should look for way to boost his scores

Study harder this time...and take the test only when you are convinced you are well prepared.
One way to know is when u start getting 37-40/40 in ur reading & listening practice tests. Usually u will get that range in the actual test too.
Which materials did u prepare with in ur 1st exam? Also attend masterclasses if u feel u may need it too, anything that let's u score higher now that u have age on ur side. Have u evaluated ur masters? If no u sud start the process while preparing to rewrite.
Cheers

How about writing and speaking please?

The answer to the first question is No. You will only make use of LOE.

The answer to the second question is No. Since all the cash will not come from your hubby's account into the joint account, you could just give the transaction details in LOE.
