Agboola Ajayi may be able to win the entire Ondo South 6 LGS but it won't be with high margins since AKETI will be deploying power of incumbency, vote buying and federal might, Ondo South is also a natural stronghold of PDP therefore Eyitayo Jegede won't perform badly there. Former Governor Olusegun Mimiko will deliver his 2 LGS of Ondo West and Ondo East to ZLP. Dr Mimiko's political machinery if well oiled and put to use might be of great plus for the ZLP across the state. The margin of win for ZLP in Ondo west and east LGS may not be wide enough to cause serious upset to AKETI second term bid. This ZLP deputy governorship candidate Engr Adegbenro being from Ifedore in the central may have a lean win in his LG, the incumbent Governor Akeredolu may find it difficult to win in Ifedore because the local government houses Ilara Mokin, the hometown of Late Dr Adegbenro, the state commissioner for health who died through COVID-19 in June and whose cousin is now being made deputy under ZLP. Akure the state capital will be won by PDP because its the hometown of Eyitayo Jegede the PDP candidate and the high concentration of civil servants who are already feeling the heat of hunger as a result of non payment of salaries. PDP will win naturally in Idanre, ZLP and APC wont do badly there, Akure North may go the way of PDP too but marginally. AKETI will win heavily in the northern senatorial districts where he came from, I see a repeat of the Okenne episode for Gov Yahaya Bello repeating itself in Owo. Owo votes will be heavily rigged for the governor and with heavy use of money to buy votes in the central and southern states, he will get at least the 25 - 40% which will give him big win when combined with the heavy votes from the north. AKETI will win outright not really because of his popularity or projects but because he didn't really have serious opponents. A combination of Jegede and Agboola would have dealt a debilitating blow on AKETI second term bid such that he may be removed by the court since he would have needed heavy rigging to win.
