We don't pay tithe to become rich. We pay because it belongs to God who in turn protects us from evil.

We don't pay tithe to become rich because it will be difficult for a rich man to make heaven while easy for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.
We don't pay tithe because Jesus Christ has not commanded it and those who love Jesus Christ, obey His teachings/commandments

Precisely the problem.

The new Covenant does not include tithing but definitely calls for righteousness which is the only way int Heaven.
Of course, that's what Jesus paid for. But even righteousness isn't an act, but our nature in Christ. So our righteousness produces fruits of righteousness. That's who we are!!

Tith is a law only in Judaism
Before that people who tithes did it on their own volition
after that comes Christianity with no tithing
alBHAGDADI:

Tithing existed before Judaism, it is the law of God which not one jot will pass away.

We live as Jesus Christ lived..it is His example that His followers follow after all our ultimate goal is to become like Jesus Christ.
So since He did not tithe and He never commanded it of us, it makes absolutely good sense not to
.

Well said.
Also applicable to birthdays and Christmas celebrations

The old laws are in the old testament, which has already been fulfilled and no longer binding.
Christians are the followers of Christ, and thus not under the old law but should live the Christlike life.
Hence we may now commit adultery, lie and kill.

Jesus did not condemn the woman caught in adultery so going by your logic one could be an adulterous Christian.

What is God's command?
There are two covenants - the old Covenant/Old wine which is the agreement between God and the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and then you have the new covenant which is the Grace of God to all men.

The New Covenant/New wine is the set of laws/rules/commandments that Jesus Christ gave us and commanded all those who love Him to Obey.

Do not mix old wine and New wine.. Jesus Christ was clear about that. And God also commanded that no man add or remove from His commandments in either case.

Jesus Christ was not her judge... And those who set themselves up as her judge..well, you know what became of them.
Also nowhere in that story are you informed that the woman believed in Jesus Christ. She was a sinner and so the reason why He asked her to go and sin no more.

Which bible are you reading?

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Tithing is not a picture of anything. Animal sacrifice was a picture of Jesus Christ and it had to stop after Jesus was crucified.

Now, show me what tithing is a picture of. Mugu

What qualifies you for heaven is your new birth and living a life worthy of the Lord.

Christians are not expected anyway to pay tithe. We are rather expected to give generally and give freewill offerings for the work of the ministry to move on.

What ministry? You were doing so well until that point. God has not called you to even give offerings.

Yes, tithes and offerings are part of the old covenant, not the New Covenant.

In the New Covenant, you are called to do works of righteousness and that has nothing to do with building any man's kingdom here on earth. So you give exactly as Jesus Chirst has commanded - to your neighbour and those who are without

Tithing is Biblical!
Tithing is God's Commandment!
Tithing is not Salvation. Accepting Jesus Christ is What Gives us Salvation.

Every Part of the Word of God is Relevant to us.
Matthew 5:17-18
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

But this is the Truth!

A Believer who Claims to be Saved and Deliberately and Conciously Refuse to obey God in Tithe Matters may be Shocked at that day!

I Advice you to Pay your Tithe! Not paying your Tithe is Robbing God of His Share in what He gave you.

Ignore men or whoever at their talks! Obey God and His Word..

James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is Sin

It's a Similar stuff to the Republicans and Democrats in the United States..

You Cannot Claim to Be a Christian or a Believer and Endorse or Support a Party that is against God, against God's Word and Principles and you say u are going to Heaven?

The Democrats of today are totally Anti-God. Yet u see so called Believers Supporting them..

Rapture will Shock people!!

So all others religion that doesn't support tithing are not making heaven

Tithing is for Christians that are spiritually mature, hence, the argument by both without the fence, and the spiritually immature ones. More so, it’s not for the public
Any person who tithes is most definitely not a Believer in Christ. Christ never commanded tithing and He certainly warned against trying to dip one foot in the old covenant and the other in th new covenant

True christains shounldn't engage in this sort of arguments on tithe and none paying of tithes....Ask the Holy Spirit and do what the scriptures says we should DO....

Give and pay your tithe and know the Lord.....I repeat Know the LORD
Jesus Christ never commanded you to pay tithes. God said do not add or remove from His commandments. When you tithe, you are in direct disobedience of His commandment and you know that is worse than being a sinner.

Wolgrace:
Some sacred things of God don't even need debate. A short trip to hell would have drop our senses and reset our spirits. Shocking wailing warnings are there too.
Debating is a proof that Holy Spirit is absent in one's life. "Those that are led by the Spirit of God are His sons because the Lord knows those that are His." His own hears His voice and they obey Him i.e they drop their senses to follow His instruction, because a follower does not debabte (debate is a distraction) but to focus on Him and His instruction like an obedient soldier to His chief commander.
That is a bloody lie and you know it. Have you Wolgrace met Jesus Christ, the one you claim to believe in? He debated the Pharisees and Sadducees, beginning at age 12.
Stop trying to use God as excuse to squirm out of situations that are meant to force you to confront the truth aabeg!
Wolgrace:
Brethren, let us drop our senses, leave debate, and commune with the Holy Spirit because without Him lies the strength of our carnal senses.
Prayer: Holy Spirit our helper and giver of peace in all confusion and to the confusionists, come and have your way...
Oh Please!

Straightforward from where to where?

If you can keep the whole 613 laws, then it's okay to pay tithe. If you can't keep all 613 laws then paying tithe attracts a curse. Please read Galatians 3 vs 10-11

Christ has set you free, dont be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.... see Galatians 5 vs 1-4

I'm not saying you can't give if you want to, you can but please don't call it tithe.

Tithe has nothing to do with Christianity.
Christ never paid or collected tithe.
