Hmmm, the PNP thing is quite thoughtful shocked

einsteino:

Lol see washing, thanks a lot. I have always had Calgary on my mind though, it was even on my COPR. I am likely to settle in Alberta. However, I am considering Manitoba and Sask because it may give me the opportunity to support a relatives' PNP.

Hey guys, if you’re in Toronto and you’re within the ages of 18 to 30 without a job, you can contact me and get to apply for this opportunity.

It’s a training on how to get a job and the good news is you get paid for it. It’s $14 per hour and no tax deducted.

please I am interested. Sent a mail

So just curious...I've heard it said that we can't be spraying our "parfum" anyhow because of collegues' allergies, please is there any other workplace "etiquette" we should prepare ourselves for? Firm handshake, eye contact...tick.....but are there any other nuances a typical Nigerian should pay attention to?

Weather for small talk...ok.....but do you talk hobbies, holidays etc with your colleagues....or are these consided personal?

And ladies...do you make our hair however you like to work: braids (moderate length, not the 30inches kind), crochet, locs, kinky, twists, thread (kiko) grin? Makeup, nails, jewellery? Just seems Canadian employers are very easy going, mellow and I wonder what's considered "ok" versus "too much".

Also when you move houses, do you go say hello to your new neighbour or is that nosey?

So, our decision was to finally migrate in the summer of 2020. By then, my daughter will have completed her primary education. And then covid-19 struck! In the mist of the chaos, the fears and global uncertainties, we maintained that it is still a good decision to move. We have spent close to 3 years in Naija. It was going to be now or we lose out completely.

Forgive me for prying but I thought one needed to be in Canada for 2 out of 5 years in order to renew their PR? Where you and your husband travelling back and forth in the intervening years?

I am sorry @SamDD but I haven't received any PM. I think it maybe a recent issue with NL because I also didn't receive @Ominitayo pm. The last pm I received was on the 9th of August which I have since attended to. So, anything between now and then didn't reach me.

The PR you'll be issued is for 5years, so out of the 5yrs, you must stay for atleast 2years.. The OP still has up to 2yrs left to fulfill that requirement...

I need your help please guys.
Can I use 100% gift deed as POF for family of 3 in Canada Express Entry FSW program?

Option 1. I would be the PA and my Sister(in Canada) is willing to help. But i guess the only way is to gift the Money through our Dad and dad do a gift deed to help our process.

Option 2 : My sister help with the amount and find a way to transfer it to my Husband which we will present my Husband's account for POF.
Please Guys, Is there a better option that can be recommended?

1. Yes, some offices will advice you not to wear heavy scent/perfume to tolerate other co-workers that might be allergic, however, you can spray mild perfume or fragrance

2. It depends on the area you are, you can always smile or nod when you have eye contact with people ( some may bluff you or show disdain to your greeting or kind gesture. Just move on - "Who greeting help"..lol)

3. Canadians like to talk alot about their family, hobbies or pets. So feel free to relate with them.

4. You can do any type of hairstyle, you will get compliments from people when they see something unique about your hairstyle.. So, be ready to say thank you a million time [Nothing is consider okay or too much here, everybody minds their business]

5. Depending on the area, generally you dont need to knock on your neighbour's door to tell them you are a new neighbour. Some may like it and others may not. Anywhere you meet, say "Hello" and then introduce yourself. Canadians like privacy a lot (They also know how to snitch..lol)

Option 3: Your sister transfers to you and you transfer to your husband as your contribution. Present your husband's acc as POF. He should also try build his account over time.
Even if you get the full funds from your sister, spend from it while your husband builds his account, then you can send like 50% as your contribution.
