Don't count your chickens before they hatch... is this the first time they're announcing airport reopening? Just keep your eyes on those daily COVID-19 numbers.... they will be dipping a week before the date... and suddenly spike a few days before.... and because of that spike....... do I have to say more? If it's not spike then it will be protocols were not in place. Schools in particular will not be reopened until vaccines are ready...... that's what all this waiting and stuff is all about.

There is such a thing called ASUU, NASU, and SSANU strike actions currently on-going. But at least if they officially open the tertiary institutions Nigerians will better know the state of things.

Comment on what you know.
Do you how long it takes to produce a vaccine. The clinical trials and pre clinical trials take time. Even if there are vaccines do you know how many would afford it.

There won't be widespread resumption of international commercial flights until the popular destinations for Nigerians opens up.

The US is mostly still closed for international flights, Just one example. Only few international commercial flights come in.

For those asking how people were able to fly into Nigeria during the lock-down,here's your answer . Nigeria and most countries of the world have been running periodic evacuation flights to bring back their citizens stuck outside their borders. I know for a fact that Nigeria embassy in the US has organized many periodic evacuation flights for Nigerians who visited the US and were stuck here.

You don't have the money to leave , hardly a day passes without evacuation or repatriation flights arriving and departing, just that you will pay extra.
