National association of university students (NAUS), National association of polytechnic students (NAPS), and National association of Nigerian colleges of education (NANCES) to demand for immediate reopening of campus across Nigeria. More details in the picture attached. Nigerian students have resolved to embark on a nationwide protest, as the two-week ultimatum issued the Federal Government by student leaders on school re-opening elapses. https://m.guardian.ng/news/students-protest-against-schools-closure-today/ 18 Likes 3 Shares

If NCDC boss was disallowed from going to school, he would not be there giving us daily false notice of his covid 419 figure thereby thwarting others future plan. Market, Airport, Church, Mosque are opened but why school? Now, most government and private organizations give age requirement when they want to employ graduate. Oga, stop waisting our time for your success. 117 Likes 10 Shares |

whats the need os reopening schools and ASUU continue thier prolong strike for its selfish reasons.. it seems its only those in private uni dt would gain from this protest because as for me, this school lockdown is more about ASUU than about covid.. the f.g must settle with them before the total reopening is announced because it may lead to more problems from those affected by the ASUU strike if schools are open back and the other's in private institutions resumes school.. so for the f.g its better to hide behind the covid and put all schools on lockdown till ASUU wahala is resolved...ma opinion 23 Likes 2 Shares |
Re: Students Protest Against Closure Of Tertiary Institutions by paulolee(m): 8:37am On Aug 18, 2020 |
Access03:leave thd jokers, F.G must call a truce with ASUU before tertiary institution can reopen, they are jus using the covid to hold other private university too on stand by.. we have been away from school for too long and if that school lockdown is lifeted and ASUU strike is still on, it would lead to more protest from those affected by the strike, so its better to hold everyone down and blame it on covid.. 33 Likes 1 Share |

RudyNerdy:lolz abeg no pray for military regime o...because thats worst, they can jus decide to shut down schools till next 2 years and nothing anybody can do about it.. assuming we are in military regime, what would have happened to the likes of sowore dt lead a protest for revolution would be a joke to what this current regime did to him...mind what you wish for my Friend.. 29 Likes |

i don't understand where the misunderstanding is coming from... NCDC have admitted that containing covid19 is beyond her capabilities and Nigerians have expressed and demanded the right to be maskless and go about their business as usual -after-all malaria and pneumonia are exactly like covid19 sooooo; allow the masses face the so-called dreaded covid19 and save all that international aid money for your pockets.. worst case the roads will be filled with rotting dead covid19 zombies and best case scenario; de-population of the poor will help our economy.. I think Nigerians should stop been myopic in their thinking, we know these institutions are far behind on their curriculum but we should look at the bigger picture. How many tertiary institutions can fully comply with NCDC guidelines? hostels in those institutions with population how can they maintain social distancing? hence it is important institutions remain closed until COVID-19 is dealt with 21 Likes 1 Share |
