One to 5 is not enough they need to be sure that they aren't intercepted by defence systems and hit their targets (cities or military facilities) all over the country and that could require thousands of bombs.

This threat of mutual destruction prevents countries from striking first and ironically is the main reason we haven't had another World War.

1. Is North Korea's Nuclear weapon Deadly and America's own friendly? Are they not the same?

From my limited understanding, it is not as simple as that.

Apparently you have to make the nuke small enough to fit in the missile plus you have to have a good primer /detonator
