By the way, this recent update na real wa.... Real peace of mind scammer.... I did the update o, after doing it, na when I begin see the original nwii.... The phone was just comfortably rebooting on its own.... Never staying on..... It did it for almost 3hours, till it went to self autoreset. My chairmen, I had no other option o, I had to use the volume and power keys for navigation and selection, cos screen don go sabbatical... I had to click on the reset... I lost ALL MY DATA.... CONTACTS, BOOKS, PICTURES MESSAGES, EVERY DAMN THING. I was almost tempted to say I'm done with Redmi.... But it's actually hard to let go of true love. Btw, my phone is RN7. The phone now be like Virgin.... I had to start installing and downloading. It was painful. Abeg who had a bitter experience with this recent update Abi na only me.? |

flawless911:Nobody is asking you to buy mtk phones. I can't use one as a daily driver as well but that doesn't mean I can't recommend the powerful ones to people especially those who have no business with tweaking. If you're to choose one between an mtk-powered redmi device and an mtk-powered transsion device both within the same price range for someone, which will you pick? Or which do you think will be more efficient? The answer to these questions emphasize the point I'm trying to make. Moreover, apart from the Note 8 pro, all the other 8series devices are powered by snapdragon chipsets and they cost way less than the 88k you quoted so what are we saying? And finally, one thing I agree with you on is the fact that the current poor state of the economy is to blame for the atrocious prices. These phones are still as cheap as they were when several years ago. I bought my first redmi device (Note 2) five years ago for less than 35k. I believe the redmi 9 which is currently sold for almost 70k is in the same price range in dollars. 3 Likes |

Finally got my redmi note 9s today. It's a beauty to behold albeit heavy for my fragile hands. Thanks to nurex01 for the speedy delivery. Even though he doesn't do payment on delivery, he made an exception for me.. I've been a guest, had to join nairaland to appreciate him. I strongly recommend him. Btw, is it advisable to use generator to charge a new phone? 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Had issues with the recent update as well. Phone experienced unprecedented lagging. My power button suffered nobi small. I had to use it like till i completely drained the battery, charged to 100 percent while off. Now it is much better and running 90 percent smoothly. AlomoReloaded: |
