soetanoreoluwa: Because he is in my opinion better. Add to that tried and tested and was the highest goal scorer in the AFCON and has been consistently putting in top perfomances. Has the better experience. Whether you like it or Victor is not tried, tested and proven in the same context as Ighalo. He is undoubtedly very good but he has not achieved Ighalo level yet. 1 Like 1 Share |

Provoker: You may indeed liken him to Zaha,Willian and Hazard. But he does not have the same quality and has a long way to go to to attain that level. Onyekuru scores a lot more goals, big YES but can he do it at higher a very big QUESTION MARK❓ Onyekuru seems to shine in lower quality league. |

JayromWrites: Last season in the Bundesliga with reference to a particular players is not a generalistic statement. I can say Lukaku last season in the EPL was very good, does that automatically mean 2019/20. Simplistic English comprehension is complicated for some people to understand. |

komekn: Why the aggression, mate? The guy stated that modern strikers like Chukwueze and Mane and Robben play to score not create. And I countered that both modern and 'old school' wingers are expected to both score and create. I never compared It's by all account that even Salah still has to improve to reach Mane's level. TheGoodJoe: When a player retires because he is clearly not able to meet the required standard it's accepted and he is commended for his contribution. Vic Moses left for reasons not related to football, that leaves many unanswered questions. When you add to the issues the fact nobody in the current SE is better than him as it stands currently. Which of our players in his position can get into Inter-Milan. We have people making all kinds of negative assumptions based on pure ignorance and prejudice. He has a problem, he has a bad attitude, etc. I have learned over the years that the media image of a player and his actual personality can be miles apart. So l just don't make those spurious assumptions. 1 Like |

komekn:Calm down because I never said Onyekuru is on thw same level as salah but they do have similar style of play. Is that to hard to comprehend? Pulisic despite his injury this season has 10 goals, the highest he ever scored in a less competitive league like bundesliga is 7 and Onyekuru has been consistent enough to make me say he can deliver. You don't need to rubbish homegrown players okay? If solake has Henry's record would you still type this? Awaziem has not had a good time with Porto in Portugal yet he has played in 2 of Europe top 5 leagues and he played well. Henry would deliver in a big league I have no doubt. 4 Likes |

Everyday we keep arguing and hurling insults at each other over players that have voluntarily retired from the NT instead of focusing on the ones we have and the ones we can get. We should respect the decisions of ighalo and Moses and allow them enjoy their retirement in peace. Even if we succeed in convincing them to rethink and return, they'll still retire in a year or two. These arguments are getting boring, let's channel the energy into the present players and prospects we have. Shalom! 3 Likes |

komekn: Stop trying to dribble your way out of this Mane 18 goals from 35 goals in the EPL. Almost lmost retired Robben 5 goals from 12 games last season in Bundesliga. Chukwueze 3 goals from 37 games in La Liga. Stating facts may be EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL for you but not for me You made mention of chuks stats for last season as well as mane's But when it comes to Robben, we are suppose to deduce you meant his last season... That your post reeks of lots of grammatical errors.. I don't think you expect anyone to understand the bolded above Own up that you goofed. 9 Likes |

on the bold there is no conspiracy theory or unanswered question of any kind. Vicmo is a grown man who has decided to retire. let's respect him and move on. as far as I know before his retirement people were not clamoring for him to be dropped whether from fans, NFF or technical crew. on the second bold that is debatable. You can not compare someone who had a 6 year run in the national team with people like Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu who are just starting out with the SE. sorry you can't turn around and now be using Inter Milan while conveniently ignoring how he struggled at Fenerbache. for the record if Vicmo wants to come back i would welcome it based on his experience and ability especially in the right wing back role. komekn: 1 Like |

Meanwhile, they themselves have no idea whatsoever about what the conspiracy might be .. We shouldn't botter ourselves about it jare... Before the last world cup, Komekn and forgiveness clamoured for Martin's,Aluko and Dele Aiyenugba to be recalled.. |

komekn: I actually do not feel Victor Moses has a bad attitude. I think he prioritises his club duties over the national team. He had to cut games to stay fit for his club duties. I also believed he would not risk playing with a knock for the national team. I feel luring a player who chose to depart is a wrong call. Nothing against the young man. Victor Moses served well but he asked to leave. 1 Like 1 Share |

Edopesin: I think Mane is all-round better than Salah, Salah gets the numbers but Mane is a better player. Dribbling Finishing with both feet Long-range shots Technique Teamwork Defensive contribution(this is dependent on the coach though) Creativity Strength Tenacity Versatility(can play anywhere across the attack) Salah is better in movement and pace. Salah has played as a striker in most games. 1 Like |

forgiveness: Individual brilliance gave PSG an edge but it was not critical to their success. Their setup was top notch. Their strategic plan was precise. Then tactical motifs plaued a vital role. We need to get the factors right, if not individual brilliance will not give us the dominance we could attain. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Danielnino00(m): 2:33pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
TheLoneCitizen: I totally agree. Salah plays a more advanced role up front than Mane plus the bulk of our midfielders concentrate their play to the right wing more.. that's why he gets to score more goals.. |

TheGoodJoe: But this is dependent on the style of play, some coaches prefer their forwards to hang on the last defenders and do less defensive work. Even Firmino, the striker, presses more than Salah. |

Danielnino00: I think using the right wing is more about Trent's ability to create chances. When Trent pushes up, Fabinho drops to form a back 3 and Salah moves in as a second striker. Trent has less defensive duties compared to Robertson. Although in the game against Arsenal, they avoided the right wing and used the left heavily. |

TheLoneCitizen: There has to be a balance. You can't operate on the same or a bit above a forwards level and be rated better if the other puts in a huge load of work defensively. I take Mane as the better player because he contributes more in the nutshell if you weigh their offensive and defensive contributions. |
