Onitsha Inland port Blueprint was actually by Shehu Shagari Governement in 1982 it was abandoned since then ..

I dont care who commission and abandon projects in south East i'm only concern about who finish it the finisher

Let me explain it to you in lay man's language, and I hope I'm wrong..... but do a little bit research on your own.

First thing first, I must salute the Buhari's government for all these critical infrastructure initiatives in SE region which were decades behind & over due on a region subject to all manners of unberted marginalizations.

The current infrastructure initiatives in the SE today have many take aways, but the take away I chose to deal with...is the 'motivation' behind these moves. The motivation is driven by both internal & external factors. For the internal factor, the motivation is driven by politics/2023 presidential election etc, and for the external factor, the motivation is driven by the deadly geo-political stranglehold between the US & China, as the US accuses China of luring African nation's into debt traps. Chinese loans to Nigeria comes in form of multilateral, bilateral, private and sometimes cooperate loans. With this covid-19 and the trade war ragging between US and China, Chinese loans ( bilateral and multilateral mainly) are trying to align their requirements/ characteristics to that of Imf, world Bank and Paris club loans and to some extent Euro bonds.
For these loans to keep flowing especially towards ongoing infrastructure projects in these countries, viability/rate of returns/expansion of Chinese trade into new regions within a country as they battle the US are now requirements for the loans to keep coming.
