Even my Edo ancestors claim that they conquered Lagos...Do u believe that too

Lmao....why are u running away...

U just claimed that U weren't holding Roupell as an authority but u quoted his works more that 10 times knowing well that it was false.... seeing that u have been caught...U then deny that u weren't using it as ur authority...Now that the loopholes in the purported story of Roupell has been exposed..U are now running away... why don't u stay and defend ur Roupell or is it because the people of old didn't say something abt Yoruba that u regard them as true

Also kindly show me where in the article it is said that such story came from the oba palace
You seem to lack the ability to be logical.

Your ancestors claim is binding on YOU not me. Do you understand English??

If your ancestors’ claims must be binding on me, then it must be able to stand the test of other corroborative accounts and established historical evidence.

For the Edo account about Lagos, see where the Edo account was demolished from HERE onward.

Honestly, this people are something else.

TAO11 beat all of you sissies without balls ganging up on her, red blue and black. Instead of you all to make a showing at rebutting her facts, you started insulting her person.

Well, we should not be surprised. You used worse insults on your women that you still relegate to subhuman in your culture. That is why they leave you in the cellar.

Instead of going home sober, you are jubilating and celebrating defeat as usual.

Do you guys know the dates of Iron, Terracotta before bronze was introduced to you.

Any idea of Iwo Eleru, Nok Culture and the movement of Ife (7 of them accord. Obayemi) from North to South.

There are other cultures Igbo would not dare compare themselves with in Nigeria. But it is easier to use Yoruba as the Giant. Once you are lifted on the shoulder of the Giant, you started beating your chest that you can see further.

Lol...U are the one who is illogical here.... The Oba palace does not conform with this Roupell report not even Egharevba or the 1970s books abt Benin history... So There is no way it's binding on me...

My issue is that u believe this despite multiple reports from both Yoruba and Benin that Eweka was born in Benin

One more thing....U always tend to overestimate ur self.... U are nothing....
U never demolished any account...Ur account instead was made to save face...U didn't even post the screenshot for all to see...it was audio
Ur account cant prove that Benin didn't conquer Lagos...mine did
it can't prove that Benin caused a change of rulership in Lagos...mine did
it can't prove that Lagos wasnt a vassal of Benin...mine did
it can't prove that Lagos didn't pay tributes to Benin for close to 300 years ...mine did

So how the fvck did u demolish any account

PS: post screenshots

Why must the present Oba palace have to confirm it to continue to put themselves under Yoruba subjugation in the modern era? grin

But we know, however, that their ancestors did confirm similar fact to the Europeans severally —

Oba Eweka(2), for example, informed H. L. Ward-Price that every morning at dawn, he must offer ritual supplications (while facing the rising sun) to his “Oghene” who lives in “Ife”. — see: H.L. Ward-Price, “Dark Subjects” (London, 1939), p.238.

Everyone here can see clearly through your inferiority and insecurity. It is easy to see who is desperately defensive.

And regarding Lagos, don’t be scared to follow that link to see how your brothers were shattered and scattered on every single point they raised.

See the link HERE again. But be warned that it is grammatically and conceptually dense, so you may need an Edo translator.

Good luck!

You are good nwanne m. I really love the way you evaded his insults and slapped him with facts. This thread really finished them off. No Yoruba will ever repeat this type of mistake again. I believe they have learnt their lessons.
Lol! Sometimes facts are ways to improve learning. But kudos to you and the other dude Hellraiser una defend the matter well. And kudos to TAO and BabaRamota, I love their decorum even when angered by Hellraiser, they kept it cool. With their own side of the story and with evidence too.

I don't know when we'll really unite ourselves in the south, mostly led by the Yorubas and Igbo. Every group is always claiming seniority and superiority over the other. For me, I believe that the only way to cement real peace and harmony between the both ethnic groups is when we talk about our shared heritage.

The Ooni of Ife has helped pushed this cultural relationship and the Obi of Onitsha has lend his voice too. It's now left on historians, linguist, scientist and archaeologist to do more research in the following areas, from Yorubaland, Igboland, Igala, Benin etc, we need to know our shared heritage, find similarities in our languages and cultures and focus more on what unites us than what divides us.

I pity your neighbors that do not know their history, you are exploiting their lack of knowledge. Yoruba will expose you to them.

Listen to what Basden said about Nri.

"Nri was a small town".
Headquarters of a priestly cult and the priests travelled around coronating kings in Igbo country.

cheesy cheesy

Nri is not the cult. Nri is not a progenitor. Nri is not a king. Nri is just a small town. Inside the Nri town lived priests - mburuichi - who traveled around igno country coronating kings.

This priesthood itself is not Igbo origin. It came from a foreignland.

Basden went on to say, in Onitsha, when asked where they came from they pointed to the East.

Where is the East of Onitsha they pointed to?

Small small Basden go expose una. I go wake am up to talk about his stay among the primitive Ibo.

Yes, this sculpture (just like the one at my DP) is from Ita-Yemoo in Ile-Ife.

I think he has learnt that lesson. He just didn’t apologize for obvious reasons.

Why don't u post the screenshot of this person u are quoting... or u want to deny its not ur authority ..The same way u denied Roupell

U always keep overhyping ur self .... none of what u said can beat the letter oba Akitoye wrote to the British.
Even in Robert Smith's book... it was said that the Benin account corroborate with Josua Ulsheimer..U are yet to post ur Yoruba man book/screenshot where it was written that Lagos account corroborates Josua Ulsheimer

U are only good at

Blame your fathers for the bold. The account is not from Yorubas, it is from your daddies in the 1800s.

Regarding Lagos, read as I have directed. Some of the “best” Edo minds that you all pushed forward fled like a b!tch when I dealt with him.

Anyone can make up a screenshot by typing up and convert into a pdf.

References is what kills it, and that is what academics do, and that is what I’ve almost always being doing.

You get the opportunity to do your own homework.
