Please has anyone who has used the Contact form from the German Embassy website, stating they have a letter of presence from their school gotten a reply? At least international flights are resuming by the end of August , so we ought to start getting positive responses from them. |

MacjoeChim: Since you've not previously enrolled at a German University, you should input 0. For number of years attended at a foreign university, this is the format: 4,0 (mine is 4 years) depending on the number of years you spent. 1 Like |

Armstrong34:Go to Abuja and get it.. Pay 15k then settle all the desk persons there... Dem go delay you tire and may take 2months to be released when you keep going to disturb them. Note that you'll have to present an institution here in naija where they will send the letter/transcripts to. 1 Like 1 Share |

Good evening ALL, The Almighty God will answer our prayers on this journey. I applied for three schools; two via uni-assist and one direct. I got one rejection with no reason and second rejection with a reason and advice to apply during summer. I received admission letter from the third school. I thank God for His mercy. I would like to ask the following questions and thank you and God bless as you response: 1. How will I go about obtaining prepaid envelope? 2. I am above 30 years and I have applied for German health insurance certificate via care concept and MAWISTA as a private insurance company although I will still revoke one after studying the terms and condition. These private insurance companies have also sent me some documents. Is this document sufficient to send across to the school for my enrollment or should I send it to Public insurance to obtained an exemption certificate for the enrollment? I am asking this question because I have read in this platform where our senior mention that after obtaining certificate from private insurance , we should use the said certificate and apply for public insurance. 3. For the application form from https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/service/visa/student-research-and-language-course-visa/1015536 (please see picture below), should I go with 1 i.e fill online and print OR with 2 download, print and hand filling. Please I need our advice and God bless you as you response. 1 Like

theochael: 1. Prepaid envelope; you can get it in any FedEx or DHL, but try and use DHL because it's a Germany company and you are going to Germany embassy: note its proper to buy the prepaid envelope 2 days or a day to the interview date. 2 for the health insurance contact TK for your health insurance exemption certificate after you enrolled with mawista or care concept. 3. Any one can serve, whether you download and fill or you fill it before downloading. What matters is to fill it correctly 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ykhgu1: I sent them mail during the application process informing them that the Consulate is not rendering consular services cos of Covid, they asked me to send a simple copy of my documents. That's what they used to give me admission. For enrollment they said I should notarize my documents. I'm still on it. |

Hello guy, Please I need help. My school requires health insurance certificate for my enrollment though they said the semester would be online for the mean time. How do I go about it? Can I also use the same insurance certificate for visa application if I get it eventually? Also, I was sent Letter of Obligation to be in Germany for study alongside AL, do I need to send the LO to the Consulate or submit it during visa application? Pls your help is needed. |
There should be alternatives to embassy e.g , notary public, high court . I want to start my enrolement with TUM, i hope its ok to use Notary public? because that is what I use for my Uni-assist documents. Or must I certify them with the German consulate this time for enrollment? |

Concerning the health insurance. I'm above 30years, I have opened a blocked account with Expatrio and was given a free private health insurance as part of the account package. I know fintiba plus has same package. Please can that free private health insurance be accepted by the embassy for visa application or I need to purchase another one? |

IceColdVeins:Just what I wanted to say, probably he or she don't know it's a wait list, the later you book the more it becomes almost impossible to get a date, do the needful now! |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by fancyto(m): 1:59pm On Aug 20, 2020 |
The earlier you book the better o.. Its risky to book late o, they already have a lot of backlogs in the embassy of people who have booked and awaiting response from the embassy. However, you should only book when you have gotten admission. Is those people that book irregularly that is causing this problem for us. |

fancyto:I don't see things like this, Don't be so sure. most booked when it was clearly stated that they are not accepting visa application but yet we booked. Most booked in April, almost 6 months ago. most people's deadline are October (that's what was filled) which is so close, still yet no date. The scholars that got dates did so via mail and not through the booking system. So I am saying don't be so sure, the booking we did might be void, no one knows. |

Hello Chief, what happens if the account I used to send the money isn't active anymore? Cos I sent a part of the money through a BDC and the other part from my domiciliary account but the BDC is already acting funny. Helo brother... If u want to get ur money back from fintiba, its very simple if u follow the way I did mine and my money reflected in my account within 2 weeks...I didn't book any appointment, didn't even go to lagos, I did all that from the comfort of my home... Step 1 write to fintiba through the contact form on their website that u want to unblock ur money..provide them with ur passport number and also a scan copy of the blocking confirmation Step 2 they will reply u after few days that u need a later from the embassy that visa was not issued...then write to the embassy through their mail that u need a written confirmation for unblocking Step3 Embassy might not reply u but in my case they replied that I should book an appointment on the consular matters...pls ignore the message..just write back to fintiba that embassy wants them to directly contact them....in that ur mail to fintiba make sure u include embassy phone numbers and email address Step 4 After few days fintiba will ask u to confirm if the account u used in sending the money is still active...once u confirm that u receive another message from fintiba to give them 3weeks to send the cash back...in my own case it was 2 weeks before the money reflected. I hope this helps...let me know if u have any other questions.... Stay safe
3 Likes |
