Hello guys please I want to inquire is there any need to apply for a study leave letter at where you did once did an internship but you have completed the internship after which you were given an offer of employment and it states that you are expected to resume the new position after masters after your masters. My boss said there's no need, I just want to be sure.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Fgmp12: 4:03pm On Aug 20, 2020
I really wish that everyone who applied for Fall 2020 gets an update .. hopefully in AIP instead of refusal.
I would suggest we all order GCMS note at least 25 days before your refund deadline,That’s for the people who haven’t gotten AIP yet.
There's a chance that refusals will come in after first week of September.. Since applicants can resubmit another application for Fall2020 thinking they might be eligible for AIP/2-step process if they submit it before Sept 15th. That means VO may have to process same application twice whereas .. they could have spent time to finalize another one. ( someone actually said this and I kinda agreed to it ).
Everyone who passes eligibility regardless of full application will get AIP no matter what IRCC says. VOs are not rolling out final decisions, at least not before Sept 15. All final decision will start to roll out at least from second week of September. They are not wasting time and resources to finalize application while there are travel restrictions and embassies are closed regardless of VAC..

Have you paid the $500 deposit the school asked to pay when you received your admission? University of regina normally ask for $500 deposit for international students that is non refundable regardless of not been issued SP or not. You can pay the tuition fee or even half or neither not to pay now before you apply for your Student permit. As others will always say here paying your complete tuition or not paying at all does not give you 100 Percent that you will be giving the student permit. All lies in your application , others got their student permit after paying their full tuition, some payed half they were still given, some others didn’t pay at all they were still given and also either of the three did they were not also given. You can also check the school refund policy and check. I also applied for the university as well, still waiting for the admission. Thank you.

OMG!!! WTF! I think you have a slim chance to defer this admission. Since march o.. Why didnt you defer den start worrying about the pof. Even if you get the pof and apply for SP, the visa officer will ask you for an updated admission letter cos already classes in the current has already started

Hi,

I was also having issues booking for biometric enrollment but I have been able to book now. If you’re using Google Chrome I think a lot of people are on the server so it’s slow. I suggest you try Mozilla Firefox or any other browser to login and book your appointment.

AIP update. Received AIP yesterday. From the letter I received I would feel that AIP is truly almost 70 to 80% guarantee of a positive result.

Nevertheless I still plan to defer my admission if I don’t get a complete approval before Sept 15. For me, my school will not give me a refund if I start the program and eventually do not get the study permit.

TIMELINE:
2nd application.
Date: June 27.
Biometrics already done.
Upfront medical updated to pass on the 7th of July.
AIP received on 18th of August.
Are you currently admitted for fall?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by whizqueen(f): 6:09pm On Aug 20, 2020
For people having troubles scheduling biometrics appointment, try a different browser or use incognito. I was able to get in through Microsoft edge after several failed attempts via chrome.

Monday is no longer available the last time I checked.

I hope this helps someone.

Hi House,

To the experience gurus here,

my SP was denied on 21 July with a single reason
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the
purpose of your visit.

I applied for a judicial review through a lawyer I was introduced to, but I didn't know judicial review take long time to conclude.

Now, I'm thinking re-applying but not sure if I can do that while the judicial review appeal is ongoing and not concluded yet.

Please, what do you think?

1. Wait for the review appeal to conclude? but this may not be against this fall 2020 according to the lawyer and my program does not have a Spring/Winter start, it also cannot be differed. I will have to reapply against Fall 2021. Its a very competitive program.

2. Withdraw the review request and reapply afresh for SP with maybe an affidavits that I will be returning home after my program since the only concern is my leaving Canada after my program. Again, get a certificate of enrollment from my school to add.

3. Lastly, do everything in #2 above but without withdrawing the review request.

Please, advise, so that I can take the steps before it is late.

Hello OluwaFavored,

It will sound more resonating and reasonable that you have critically assessed your previous application thoroughly before seeking for JR. Most immigration lawyers in Canada are professional hustlers with well-packet suits and straight ties. If it happens that the onus to satisfy the VO with well-sufficient evidence falls on you, you may just be so magnanimous with your funds for purchase of more packet suits to matching ties. However, the risk worth every penny.

You may have clearly demonstrated excess desperation in your application based on the expressions all over your post. This explains reasons for the "Purpose of Visit" from two tentative view:

1. The quality of your study plan and,
2. The correlation and/or demonstration of study progression.

In your best interest, you may want to share your GCMS notes here so people can advise accordingly and maybe make assumable analysis about the outcome of the JR. Requesting for the notes before attempting the step towards JR is well-advised.

It is well-advised to see out the JR before any new application is filied. The JR is just like an application of its own and we can agree that litigation is the inseparable difference. If successful, automatically, the refused application will be reoppened and passed to another VO to reassess and reviewed. This mostly leads to a favourable decision. This and more reasons are why the process shouldn't be interrupted irrespective of the JR length. Some are fast why the most common trend can be compared to a sloth.

It won't also be a smart idea to withdraw it thus far, as you maybe losing both time and resources.

All the best
