Brethren.... I was not happy seeing one Camry nabbed by d MIB around Boladale street , oshodi yestday. Thing happened right in my presence. Though there was a one way sign, but it was not properly placed. for God sake which kind of city is this. How do you put a one way sign on a pole adjacent to the road it was intended for? Watch out for this 2 one way traps around Ikeja axis.. 1. Boladale road connecting Lagos Abeokuta expressway via church street. If you r descending from the oshodi expressway coming from Island.(that is if you took d ramp to Apapa/ Bariga. Whatever your map says follow this - take your right to Kunle Akinosi street, - @ the end of kunle akinosi, take ur left. - immediately u take ur Next right again. Don't go straight...... That's where d trap is. 2. Dosunmu road , I'm not too sure of the name of the road. Its d road DT connects you back to Lagos- Abeokuta expressway from Ikeja Gra. The road runs parallel to the railway lines being built, so you can't miss it. A one way sign is properly placed there, so you dont hv an excuse. There is a small stretch where you have to take a right turn to go n connect back to "works road." Lastma r waiting on the other end of d road, with an unmarked white truck parked @ the end of that road,so if you r not observant, easily you wud not spot it. Two things.. 1. Work with your Gmap. 2. Observe how cars move in a terrain you r not familiar with. Stay awake! 20 Likes 2 Shares |

mosesbola: Wow I just have to go back to understand where you are coming from. Those guys are toothless and barbaric. I was to deliver a customer's car to him last week saturday, so I have to take 3md then link clinic road to face Ajah, toward the end of clinic road to link yaba, there is one dysfunctional traffic light there, a car was in front of me who waited for some folks crossing, immediately those guys successfully navigated their way across the road the vehicle in front of me moved which I followed suit. Out of no where they just jumped in front me like say them don see prey. Within me I just laff say you go buy market wey no be your own now now. All the drama I no open door nor do I look concerned, the more they talk, the more I dey match my pedal dey move. When they see say I no send and am not ready to yield na dem comot my front. In a nutshell for an instance you need to be bold and face them gallantly. Until proven guilty, you will remain innocent. Na just fear and I dont want them to delay me dey kill people 10 Likes |

Update from the meeting attended on the 19 August. Like we all know the LASG recently came up with some regulations on every ehailing companies but negotiations are still on going and so far so good uber has been able to have some level of understanding with the government concerning its operation in the state. Apart from the operational licencing fee which has been agreed on a N20 goes to the LASG on every trip and this N20 is not from drivers' Commission, that's according to UBER. Though, i tried to ask where the N20 is coming from but they wouldn't clarify. The areas that affects drivers partners are these: All drivers are to get LASRA, LASGRI, HECKNEY PERMIT, CAR AND BODY TAGs. I'm not sure if am missing any thing out but will include if and when I remember. The car and body badge will be gotten at a price which is not known at the moment. (Although, one driver in attendance I supposed that sounds like izzuo said he has tried to get these badges and according to him cost about 12k) LASRA or what ever is called is free apart from the time and inconvinency it will take to get it. The body tags according to UBER would be like an ID and the vehicle licence which would be place either on the car windshield or kept and provided when necessary to officials but from my understanding the LASG is the one providing this documents and would want all drivers to place them on the car for sight view and easy identification. To my own understanding the LASG is trying to top up their security level for her residence due to the high level of kidnapping and crime across the country reason they are introducing this law. I tried to make a demand for the body tags to be scrapped totally but other colleague in the meeting seems not to support but want it kept and provided when ever officials request for it. My opinion was for it to be scrapped totally because some officials would charge you for not pasting it on your car since you have in the first place and task force and touts will use it as a meand of extortion especially now that the N20 fine has been placed. Those illiterate would believe that N20 woulf be paid whilr on transit on the particular route a driver is given because the right name gor this tag is actually ROUTE TAG. I also tried to ask UBER to look into the issue of account blockage because it will be unfair after all this stress to have an with UBER then your account is blocked due to cancellation or some kind. On the issue of destination to be included alongside request which would help to trim down the rate of cancellation, from the response of the rep he tried to make us understand that its due to security reasons that UBER don't buy into the idea of we drivers knowing the PUL and same time destination of the rider. So I don't think UBER is ready at anytime to adjust that feature. Though I arrived late for the meeting and from the briefing the issue with low fare had been address and I believe maybe within or after the 90days window for everyone to get all of these documents available the T.fare would be preview to suit the present times. Finally, the rep noted down every of our concerns and as instructed will be channeled to higher authority for further scrutiny. Thank you for reading. Did I talked about the comprehensive insurance that was made compulsory? UBER had done her best to make thr LASG to see reasons why this can't be possible so any kind of insurance is valid for the now. 13 Likes |

...And uber made it clear to us that they value their drivers same way they value their riders, because without drivers they won't have any reason being in business, so what ever affect us affects them as well. 3 Likes |
