Bros Ighalo and vic Moses have paid their dues and should move on. And who told you osimhen is not technically sound? Kid is still work in progress and won't turn world class overnight but so far he is well positioned talent wise to spearhead the attack of this current super eagles.

Behind osimhen we still have dessers, Iheanacho, Maja, Onuachu, Nwankwo and even Moffi. Any of these guys can be called upon to be worthy back up to osimhen who is the undisputed first choice currently in the team.

I am a big fan of iggy but it will be ill advised for him to return to the team

I will choose Kayode ahead of the bolded.

Gbam

Im shocked that Onyekuru that is still starting is used to downplay what VicMo has done for SE. Anybody should remove VicMo from the equation of SE and we are back to HBP days. Its just that simple.

I prefer a VicMo that will create goal chances, miss some too, and make us still feel that our attack is lethal and can punish opponents

Than

Have an SE just passing back and forth and attack is very very lame and uninspiring.
Especially as those Supporters Club dry use their trumpets dey sing "He's a Miracle Working God"!!

I don't expect anyone to downplay VicMo's contributions to the SE. He has his annoying side, no doubt.. But contributions wise, the other two still be learners.

Why do you always do this, deviate from the topic whenever you are connered. Moses has being very luck to be honest. Nigga is average and thats me being really nice.

Can you explain how an average player like Victor Moses was nominated for African footballer of the year twice, BBC footballer of the year twice, goal African footballer of the year twice (he won one) and won Nigeria football of the year twice?

Wey bring which Afcon?
He was not the only player in that Afcon and was not even our best player to begin with stop overrating him

We have natural wingers it's a no brainier to take a Moses that doesn't have any stat as a winger over them
I don't understand o

Why are you guys tryna really downplay the effect VicMo have on the SE attack as a whole?

Why?

Exactly what I noticed here. Some of them are just trying hard to downplay Vic Moses contributions to the SE but facts on ground doesn't support their claim.

Imagine, a two time African footballer of the year nominee in comparison with a player still starting. Very laughable.

o boy...this vicmo argument funny die.
Pls...NFF and Rohr should allow Ighalo and vicmo retire in peace. We are still trying to squeeze in Ejuke and Henry, na those old cargoes we go recall? In fact,Musa's spot in the team is being threatened.
Ighalo and vicmo have paid their dues. We move on.
Those shouting experience yen yen yen...experience in football nowadays is loosing its value.
How old are Mbappe,Sancho,Saka,Haaland,Trent yet these guys are putting up excellent performance.
It is as you say.

But we should never cos of these newbies that haven't been tested in the national setup, downplay whatever good contributions Vic has in the Afcon we won.

I believe we all watched all the matches. Why are many now tryna make it seem like he's a bang average contributor to that Gold?

The argument asides

I'd prefer someone that makes SE clicks and causes fear to opponents, and have an average club contribution over a player that have great stats at club level but is ineffective in the SE setup.

The Musa that gave us 4 important wC goals was ineffective at Leicester... Many would write him off cos of that.... Maybe myself too. But in SE....

Egbon Forgiveness. I want to ask you a simple question. Just answer it honestly.

Nigeria played six games en route to the title. How many Man of the Match awards did Victor Moses win?

I have the records here. I just want you to answer.

What I'm against is the downplay.. Forget records. See those even doing some odd comparism here and there. Haba na.

Onyekuru is good but please don't compare him with Zaha or Vicmo.

Vic Moses is way behind his best and can only be used as a rb I he returns to the team. Even currently in the rb position the team Doesn't lack decent players.

Him and Ighalo should move on

Vicmo used as right back!? Hmmmmm! Okay oooo.

Moses was the reason we won??

If victor Moses was that important why was Mikel nominated for African player of the year for that year and Moses was overlooked (despite the fact that they both won the Afcon and Europa league that year)
I won't say he's the reason we won, but we all know how these afcon individual awards always go. We all know. Chai.

Most of us not wanting them back are on this "paid their dues" table.

Guy if we need experience that can play in the XI, Ighalo and VicMo are just that. We don't need experience that will be inspiring from the bench.

Na only us wan make players not above 35 to just waka from NT despite good performances.

And lemme add

I rate Osimhen very highly

But he will need an Afcon where he is the top striker to make me rate him above those that have that same top spot at afcon.

The physical side of Afcon no be beans.

Emenike, VicMo, Ideye, Ighalo, Moses, have tried this waters and have passed the test of coming tops when push comes to shove.... Till then.

You cannot compare unproductive players to a productive one

Single-handedly retired too. Doesn't this qualify as folly - you picking him over the talents we currently have on ground?
Let talents prove their mettle in the NT then we can call it case closed.

Osaze equally proved himself and none of these current talents till further notice, come close.

The fact is LET them be tested!!!!

Only Nacho, Iwobi so far has been tested enough.

Till then Talents remains Talent!!

Many history abound to prove that.

They both may be finished to us, but a Coach might just disagree with our talk by including them. They are definitely not extra luggage, as far as SE is concerned.

The disrespect to VICMO is quite astonishing on this platform.
Giving some folks praise mediocre players like Nwakali, Iheanacho, Iwobi to high heaven on this same platform. Wow!

At Afcon 2013, we were absolutely abysmal in our first two games which we drew.
Our last game against Ethiopia was a must-win but again we were shambolic until Vicmo came into the game after overcoming the injury that sidelined him from the first 2 matches and took the game by the scruff of the neck causing and scoring two penalties to win the game for us.

Without VICMO's contribution, we would have been out in the first round.Against Ivory Coast, we were camped in our half until VICMO took the game to the Ivorians cutting in from the left and unleashing a ferocious shot that Bari managed to save. He kept marauding the Ivorians defense thereby boosting the confidence of the other players.

Against Mali, what more can I say? A career-ending superb dribbling to set up Echiejele for the first goal. He was the Malians tormentor in Chief. In the final, it was his movement, dribbling, and shot that led to Mba's goal that won us the cup. Put respect on VICMO. He also single-handedly took us to the 2018 world cup. Against Algeria and Cameroon, he was unplayable. Our single win against Iceland started with that sumptuous pass from VICMO to Ahmed Musa.

Give a fucking respect to the legend, VICMO!
With VICMO we would have won the last Cup of Nations.

You have said it all. How can one forget those brilliant moments Vic Moses changed the game.

I could still remember when I watched that match against Ethiopia in a barber's shop in the South East. People were dismayed because of the shambolic display the SE players put up in that match. The only noticeable player on that day was Vic Moses.

People don dey vex commot for the salon when they saw the horrible display while others were cursing the players..... Onye beribe...onye ara...etc useless team. Meself follow join. grin

Suddenly, Vicmo singlehandedly dribbled his way into the penalty box and won us a penalty. See human being begin dance.. grin

I can't forget. Thanks for bringing it up. grin

Provided these haven't faltered, its is still valid. Till then.

I'd love a young setup going forward. Even if these two dont get the invite, it's gonna be out of choice rather than form. The Late Keshi did it for the Afcon squad final selections too.

Pls remind me what the said Ighalo won this season??

play @ a big stage when it matters - Chukwueze, Dennis, Osimhen,Onyekuru to mention a few have all played and scored at either the Europa league or UCL which is the highest level of club football.

Ighalo and Moses at thier age : One couldn't cut it at Seria B, the other was at crystal palace
