Also, please for clarification, can a bank statement of a blocked account submitted as proof of funds? i.e an account locked for 28days to avoid unnecessary or unconscious redrawal, to best put it for safety purpose. Asking for a friend. Thanks

1)Please am i suppose to print passport data page even though am submitting the passport?
2)Do i have to submit my old passport with the new one including printing it?
3)What do I have to take along with me as self-service to my appointment?
Thank you all in advance.

If u had a visa, valid or expired on the old passport, make a copy of the data page and all entry/depature stamped page.

Please can you book a later appointment without TB certificate at hand? E.g. Booking an appointment of 19th September for TB testing of 14th September. Thanks
Yes u can but just make sure u have your TB certificate before biometrics. If u don't get it before that, you'd have to cancel your biometrics appointment and start afresh. It's a gamble basically.

Yes make a copy of the data page of your current passport.

Regarding your old passport, you are free to make copies of the relevant pages you want to include with your application as evidence of immigration history. However you won’t need to submit the old passport itself.

Good day all

In my CAS, my school listed only B.Sc. as evidence use for my offer.
Also, for English language assessment, they stated Higher Education Institution (HEI) sponsor has made assessment

I submitted my WAEC and PTE English exam and M.Sc. certificate with my application. I did my M.Sc. in one of the countries listed as having knowledge of English language and i did not need to prove my knowledge of English knowledge)

My question now is
1. Should i submit only my B.Sc. certificate and other required documents?
2. Do i need to submit my work reference letter? (I'm going for a career change and my work experience was the main reason i got the offer, my undergraduate was Economics, M.Sc. Professional accounting and want career change, so I'm going for M.Sc. Mental health nursing

@mimilyric and other gurus kindly advice. I want to submit my visa application today

Thank you

@TheGuyFromHR

You answered No to the above question.

It actually has two dimensions to it,

- Do I have to submit my old passport with the new one ?

- Do I have to print my old passport data page when submitting

which one are you saying No to?

Both.
Basically referring to the practice of sending in old passports when applying for visas so that they can see any travel history you have in an old passport(s). My wife and I both went along with old passports and they said submit only your current passport.

I might add - if you have any travel history in an old passport, scan out the visas as a pdf file and upload in the self-service platform/make copies to be uploaded for you if going for the assisted service. In any event, the people at TLS will not take more than one passport from you.

In other words,

You want to submit a document that wasn’t requested thereby creating a loop hole in your application and subsequently room for thorough scrutiny and checks?

If I was you, I’d stick to and present what was stated on my CAS.

Do you absolutely have the 14th date confirmed for TB. If yes then the risk is reduced if no then too risky incase you get a later TB

But what happens if there issues with your TB result

Either option is fine. You can all apply now and travel together. You can also choose to apply first and when you’re settled in ,your dependents can submit their applications to join you

Can we scan the stamps as well as the visas?

Good evening. Please if a family opts to rent private accommodation, does the family need to secure the accommodation and show proof during the biometric capture/interview?

Of course.
Use one of those phone scanners and combine all the pages into one pdf file.

I don’t think there’s a need for any of this. The application form asks for details of all the countries you’ve been to in the last ten years or so. Including dates. Once you fill that in, there is no real need to provide anything else. Bio data page of your previous passport if you must.

The form splits it into a select list of countries and then ‘all others’. Best to avoid going over the top.

On the form you were asked where you would be accommodated in the UK and that was where you have to enter an address of any location, temporary or permanent, where you intend to stay.

What we did was to rent temporary accommodation, then explained in the form that this was only temporary as making arrangements for permanent accommodation from outside the UK was not desirable (need to inspect, assess location, etc.) so we would do so post-arrival. We uploaded proof of the securing of the temporary accommodation on the TLS portal.

The question wasn't asked during the interview, but I don't think you need to have a permanent place to live in now.

I never said this was necessary.
I just said that that was what we did.
Having already indicated the dates of previous travel, we thought to provide proof with scans of the relevant passport pages.
Apart from UK visas, which they have in their own records, how else will they be ableto verify what you have said?

Wrong.

If you don’t provide copies of your travel history, how will the ECO know you’ve gone to those countries ?

@TheGuyFromHR is right on the money.

Travel history must obviously be important to the UK Home Office since they specifically ask about it in detail in their form, even for students.
So in line with their detailed questions, I think it appropriate to provide them with detailed evidence as well.

I need to upload all our past UK visas. I remember there used to be an option to fill in visa numbers and date of issuance (duration) or drop old passports.

I’m so glad we haven’t gone in yet! Thank you!!

Will scan it all. I doubt the ECO will be bothered about using our old passport numbers to get expired visa information.

You are a star!
