Modified thanks for correction
Besides the 2009/2010 season which was when he scored most of the 21 goals with Granada was in the third division not second division

Which quality? Just another pacy footballer

Kalu is skillfull has accurate crosses can mark can create chances and is technically sound.

He can play wing back play as a winger a support striker and maybe an attacking midfielder.

He is not too cknsistent as lonecitizen said. I have watched him in some matches and seen how good he can be. Rohr likes him for the qualities i just stated.
He is a low budget bukayo saka even though he is not as good as him
He is a good player in his own right

His end product is poor...

Going to Turkey may not help him improve on that...
I think he should consider playing a LB maybe that could be his breakthrough, just like Victor Moses

He's not a quality player, he only flatter to deceive. He's not technically sound, his crosses aren't great. Nobody uses a support striker these days and his passes aren't great so he can't play as an AM maybe LWB or LB will be better

It will. Guaranteed game time means the player is under less pressure.

If the player knows he will play the next game, he becomes more composed when finishing. Confidence is extremely important for forwards.

That's why Top clubs are willing to loan their players to lower leagues.

Emmanuel Dennis now being linked to Napoli, Leeds and Bayer Levrkusen(to replace Havertz).

He has been linked to so many teams, I wouldn't be surprised if he moves to Spezia Calcio.

It would be helpful if u can add the source of your transfer news...

Unless you are a journalist yourself...

He's probably our poorest winger stat wise but somehow Rohr prefers him

He is the most skillfull winger we have and he can take free kicks.
His performances for the national team are good so rohr cannot do away with him anyhow.
Remember his goal last year in an afcon qualifier and his assist against Ukraine.

Manu Lonjon reports:

1. Samuel Kalu in talks with Fenerbahce for a loan plus option to buy deal. No talks with Galatasaray.

2. Emmanuel Dennis is close to a move from Brugge. The club faked his injury news to give him an opportunity to finish the deal. Not clear which club yet.

I think its Bayer Leverkusen
He is going there to replace Havertz, who is chelsea bound

At boardex he is sometimes played as a wing back and this limits his offensive stats. Besides he has entered team of the week before in France.
I think some people on this forum dont like him. Check out his brilliant goal against benin

Don't mind the pessimists. I have read tons of biased reports here about the same Kalu that has been one of our most productive players post-Russia 2018. That he's having a rough patch recently doesn't obviate the talent that made him one of the most sought-after wingers in Europe at a time.
For those comparing Kalu with Saka, they should wait for Saka to don our national colours first.

Samuel Kalu it was that made Eagles' fans forget about Victor Moses after his retirement. He was going to be Rohr's go-to man at the AFCON 2019 before health issues struck but the few minutes he got at the tournament, he proved himself.
The competition he has in Moses Simon, Dennis Bonaventure and potentially, Chidera Ejuke can only make him get better.
