IHS is not upto that amount unless if you are paying for 2years..

£300 per year+£150 half year making £450 for masters degree..

From October IHS will rise

Hello

Please, I'll like to confirm. During my interview, is it really bad to say I intend to work in the UK after my studies. Do I have to say I plan to come back to Nigeria after my studies?

All payments made using debit cards linked to domiciliary accounts are just as seamless as those made using naira cards (when the latter's limits are complied with).
I used an Access Bank naira card to pay the IHS and the process was seamless, so there is no reason to believe the domiciliary account version would be different.

That's not what I did, so you'll have to hear from those who have done that, but I think it should be OK.

I'd advise you not to say that as it makes it seem like you'd planning to study as a means to migrate to the UK.

Even though the PSW will be launched from next summer, if you say this, you would be asked about expected pay and why/how you think that you'd definitely get a job in the UK after your studies. You might also be asked if that's all the plan you have for after your masters and in the absence of another viable plan, your credibility as a genuine student has a high chance of being negatively impacted.
There are a lot of specifics or near-specifics that you might be asked for based on your response so I'd advise you not to make your application complicated.

If you were planning to enrol on another course after your Masters (i.e. a PhD), that would be understandable as long as you know what know what course that would be in even though that might change along the line.

Outside of working in the UK after your studies, what other viable plans do you have? Or is that the only plan you have?

Thank you @mimilyrics. However, the program I'm going for is one that'll enable me get licensed to practice as a pharmacist in the UK. So that's basically what the program is all about and I'm certain I'll get jobs there once I'm done and I've passed the qualification examination. I believe I'll find it easier to express myself saying this especially as regards to why I chose the course.
What's your opinion please?

My friend is really worried..please help.

He's on his VISA application now and wants to know if he's to state the reasons for his refusals to USA and Germany. Please note that, after being refused to this two countries, he has traveled to other countries, which are on on his old passport.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Oh okay.
Will you be getting your license as part of your course or you've got to write the exams separately? Is your course a pre-registration training? Is passing your GPhC a requirement for your course or after your course? Is your course an OSPAP course?
Sorry if I mixed up the terms, I'm not a pharmacist grin

There's a part of the form that requires him to declare the refusals plus reasons. He shouldn't worry; it doesn't mean that his visa will be refused. As long as he takes care for those reasons not to crop up on his application and he meets the T4 visa requirements, his application won't necessarily rejected except in cases where the refusal reasons (terrorism et al) are very grave.

As far as I know, no but I'd like to know why your school insisted on using the school accommodation.
toyclicks:
Pls @Mimi
While filling IOM data, I filled the address of the person I'm going to stay with in the UK.

While filling my CAS draft I filled same though stated that I was going to stay with this person for 1 month while I sort my accommodation. The school told me that I must go and choose 1 or 2 accommodation from thier accommodation page which I later did but still mentioned that I was going to stay with a friend for about a month before I finalize the deal. But the school nigerian rep/agent edited the whole thing before he passed it to the CAS team stating directly that the chosen school accommodation was where I was looking to stay. He deleted the part of me staying with a friend first, completely.

My concern is that this alteration makes my address data different from what was registered with IOM and what was registered with school.

Is this something to worry about?

Thank you...but the issue is a bit complicated.. He recently got married, but had used a fake marriage certificate to show home times, on one of the country he was refused entrysome five years ago. Now he's genuinely married..what do you think @ mimilyrics.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 7:42pm On Aug 22, 2020
Was that the refusal reason? For what country?

If the fake marriage certificate is the reason, he would have to write it as the reason and I'd suggest that he speaks to an immigration lawyer on this. I'm careful with advising on issues like this because I'm not a lawyer and I don't want to be legally complicit.

Worst case scenario, it might lead to a refusal because it's a case of misrepresentation, deceit and forgery.
Best case scenario, it might not lead to a refusal but I can't tell you for certain that it won't.

Hard truth

In this case nobody can predict the outcome then...... it can go either way

once you agree to apply with fake documents then be ready for any future consequences or what may come. ... that is why it essential to stay away from such at all times . AT this point you can only apply and hope for the best

Yes. Ospap is my course. And after the one year masters/Ospap, we'll get to do the preregistration training after which we'll write the Gphc licensing examination.
@mimilyrics are you a health professional? I'm surprised you know about Ospap

Just to add to what @mimilyrics said and I agree with her advice.

I know a friend who is a pharmacist, recently finished his master's distinction, got the license and all.But during the interview, he focused on the reason he wanted to do a Master's and that was developing his career path.
He didn't necessary have to say stay back and get a job or get license to practice in the UK

Again, those are back end plans, the interview should be more about the front end plans.

Let her answer be about her career development and not the place per say.you might also get a good job in the US or the EU. So why limit yourself to the UK?

Just saying,focus on the now.

P.S forgive my typo
Cheers

Hello everyone

Please I need your suggestions on places and top positions I could possibly say I would work in Nigeria when I complete my course MSc. Adult Nursing.

Secondly, how much do they pay nurses in these places?

I'm certain I will be asked this question, hence I need something convincing. I'm open to any suggestions.

please help a friend.

@mimilyrics @everyone
Thank you!

Hello,

Look through Nurses pay at oil and gas companies i.e NLNG, Shell or NNPC

Look at levels in nursing,so for instance a master's will take you from Level A to Level B which is a career growth and what you are aiming for*

Look at how that can allow you lead a team and make a real difference in Nigeria ( even if it may not necessarily be)

Answers in this line make you shine without looking like you are never returning.

Cheers
