Pls don't buy this, the amp is too low for large batteries, attached is the two I can recommend, the yellow has a start up current of 130v while the blue starts up at 110v, meanwhile they both have capacities to charge up to 400ah batteries at 20a for 12v and 15a for a 24v setup.

Pls choose wisely.... Cheers

You just saved me.

From the second picture it's boldly written from 6ah - 400ah at 12v or 24v. So anything from 6ah upwards will work fine.

I'm still expecting mine to arrive, the thing just Sidon for China dey chill. So am just reading from the spec sheet on Jumia and AliExpress.

Getting a 40ah vrla battery or 100ah car battery which one is better?

Vrla battery, car batteries are not suited for deep discharge cycle....

no battery is suited for deep discharge in other to maintain the battery life.... Anyway thanks, I'll order for the agm battery then

I think what he meant to say is, car battery is not designed to withstand cyclic use i.e repeated charge and discharge.

Surely if you come to a thread about alternative power and inverters our advice would only be about using suitable deep discharge batteries.... and proclaiming no battery chemistry is designed for deep discharge shows you have not been paying attention.

Could we see a picture of the converted stabilizer.... this is new info here.

As for your APC question, most genuine APC ups above 1.5kva I have come across are PSW. Though providing us the picture and the make of the UPS would help everyone here give more accurate advice.

I have seen on TV the way these butteries are recycled, these oyinbos will buy the bad batteries in very large quantity all over the world and then throw them in to a grinder, that will grind every thing including the plastic body ,after grinding, they add some chemicals and then mold it into a new cell, they put the cell in a new plastic body and u have a new battery, they will test it, brand it with a name and put in carton, most of these China batteries we buy as brand new are recycled batteries

Oyinbo don go far .

However I think our boys are still reviving them back for sale. The last time I sold off my SLA battery in Oshodi I stayed in the market longer to buy other things. Lo and behold an hour later I was told that the person who bought it had tested it by charging it only to find out water was coming out of it. This was definitely true as I had added distilled water to it in a last ditch attempt to revive it. He subsequently paid me lower money than what we agreed because of this.

So I am quite sure most buyers are reselling those batteries.

the guy played u, water or no water, he usd sense to reduce ur money jare, I have sold so many like that, they only revieve the ones that are sulfated, the totally damaged one are sent to China or other producing countries as recycles,
let me ask u
..if they purchase (4)200ah batteries for 15k each and 3 out them is damaged and can't be revived, what do u think they do to it? throw away and lose 45k?

Yeah the fan is always on, no matter how little the current is which is a bit unusual.

Besides the 0.2v issue, the charger is pretty ok, though I still don't understand the manual charging and how it works as it seems to be still doing smart charging, though it allows you to adjust the voltage.

The main reason I bought it was to revive 2 batteries. My car battery, which now seems to be ok but more importantly my 5 year old tokunbo Ritar telecom which it took almost a week to get full. Once I tried the load test the voltage dropped drastically and I then decided to use the manual charging to make things faster.... within a few hours the battery was swelling and smelling and I had to shut it down. The funny thing is that I gave it a day and the swelling disappeared like magic lol. I tried a load test and it failed again.

I might still use it on that battery for a month (in smart mode).

The on-display voltage is useful to me though as I use it offline to monitor my inverter's (India) charger as I blame it for spoiling my Ritar. Chinese seem to know more about charging than these Indians

my guy, what's ur battery voltage, after the pulse repair charger fully charged ur battery,
I want to compare with mine,

And will defeat the purpose of the thread, most of the information on this thread are as old as 5-6yrs but still relevant and people can still access it.

Think what would happen if it was a whatsapp group grin grin
