The North Should Please Forget 2023 Presidency by MASTAkiLLAh(m): 3:02pm On Aug 23, 2020 |
Nigeria is very tense right now as we’ve been irrevocably divided along ethnic and religious lines in the worst way since the civil war. Recent happenings have even exposed the deplorable state of things to be much worse than we anticipated, the ElRufai saga and the command by Ishaq Akintola a Yoruba Muslim to northern Muslim lawyers to avoid this years NBA conference (under what authority). Nigeria needs to calm down, Nigeria needs to heal and the only way we can do that is for all northern political gladiators with presidential ambitions to shun such dreams (across party lines) and for the presidency to jettison the continued implementation of the 97% vs 5% policy. We’re all one Nigeria but the government and its policies are making people think of a different option which by international law they have a right to. The north should please forget about presidency in 2023, if Tinubu is the person they trust then we will go with him for peace to reign because if we follow this present trajectory, I personally don’t see Nigeria as one country by the end of the decade. What Northerners are yet to understand is, no southern part of the country will turn their regions into a war zone all in the name of claiming political master |

alhassanyusuf29:he's not an igbo... He's a Yoruba man that is just asslicking igbos on every thread cos he want them to support the south west in the Coming election. So the only way to get their support is condemning the north and supporting their assertions. Not knowing that the Igbos here are by far smarter than him. Power is going to the south... We have no Bussiness with power come 2023. They should unite and present a candidate instead of this cheap asslicking. The candidate the north pick is who is going to win. |

Actually I will like the North to hold on to power.... It will prove a mastesrtroke... Nothing will ultimately jolt every section o this country back to sanity than a brazen attempt at 'fulani colonialism'... With buhari boneheadedness, this mistake will surely be made.... 1 Like |

If Tinubu (or anyone else from the South West) is who you're putting forward, then I prefer the North to continue ruling. After 8 years of Obasanjo and another 8 years of Osibanjo, you're still talking about South West. Meanwhile the South East hasn't produced even a vice president let alone president since our return to civilian rule 21 years ago. We have to get serious in this country. 3 Likes |

MASTAkiLLAh: And yet you want tinubu.. Where is the justice then?? Am a yoruba but if it's to come down south then it's for southeast else the north should keep it.. The southeast could be lousy and proud but its their time and we shouldn't go against that if we still want one Nigeria |

beejaay:Im from Bayelsa State, the same senatorial district with GEJ (I’m saying this for emphasis). I also said if it’s Tinubu the north trust to hand over power to then so be it for peace to reign. If you know me here on Nairaland, you’ll know Tinubu isn’t exactly my type of person so therefore I’m not putting his name front for selfish reasons rather for the peace of the nation. Talking of the SE, are they ready ? Have they extended hands of cooperation ? The two front liners ie Okorocha and Uzor Kalu will be rubbished at the anti corruption tribunal and court of public opinion, Peter Obi will contest as vice under Atiku besides the north dont particularly like him after that lie from ElRufai that he deported northerners while he hasn’t really endeared himself to the SW since 2019 so who really is the SE pushing forward in a unified front ? |
