Obaseki has exposed our FG . He's been able to prove to Nigerians it's not rocket science to build a refinery. If he could do this with limited resources and partnership with the investors, I see nothing special in building modern refineries by the federal govt who has all the funds, at a higher capacity and output in a short term. They've wasted billions of dollars on the so-called TAM yearly which had apparently entered the pockets of their padipadi. I hope Nigerians would now see how the fed govt had been slapping us in the face all in the name of carrying out TAM for years. I wish the NNPC could be scrapped. |

I think the priority first should be how to make the ones we already have functional. Then we can think of building more added to the one Dangote is building. |

Why does FG need to build refinery for God's sake? Why can't government just leave all these things to private hands? You create avenues for corruption and then blame people for being corrupt. |

Two dead refineries and one new one is equal to one. It is absolutely wrong to conclude that there will be three refineries when the new one is completed. |

24SEVEN: You’re not even thinking of where the funding will come from, you’re shouting Yoruba upandan like a tribal bigot. Dangote that is building one, do you know how long he has been on it and how long before he finishes? I don’t envy Dangote as it is because the whole world is moving away from fossil fuel into alternative energy. I hope he eventually recoup his investment. The days of oil boom is gone dude. Gone for good but our leaders and their dumb followers are still living on yesterday in this country. The reality will hit us like a hurricane very soon. |

These criminals have come again with refinery scam. After spending billions on Turn Around Maintenance without any changes in output, they are preparing grounds to collect loans and continue the looting. |
Re: FG To Build New Refinery In Rivers State by 24SEVEN: 2:28pm On Aug 24, 2020 |
Ijaya123: The federal government who intends to build the refinery should be the one bothering about how to source the funds for it. It's none of my business. Even if the world moves away from fossil fuels, Nigeria will at least be trapped in the usage of fossil fuels for at least 50yrs. Do not ever feel the need to use new advancements in the world as a yardstick to measure Nigeria. Nigeria isn't ready yet and may never be. |
