Gtb has restricted all users to 100 dollars per month so you might need to use another card
Allegory:
Please guys, I've been trying to pay for WES since yesterday. I've tried a GTB MasterCard and a Zenith Visa card and I keep getting the same error message saying I should contact my bank.

I got a message on my gtb saying the transaction failed because the amount I'm trying to pay is above my approved average. I was paying 230 CAD. Does anyone have an idea how I can make the payment.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Dammyope126: 9:59pm On Aug 24, 2020
No, you don't have to pay for verification. Just send an email to unilag records and include your Wes reference number, matric number and the date Wes sent your verification. Having a contact in records office might also help. My report was ready 3 days after verification.

Wow.. This is so cool. And to think of it, while u were going through all you were, u still had time to always respond and guide people on this page... Mehn na u be the real MVP o!

One think I picked from your story is that it may be beneficial to pay USD to someone that is already in Canada account (someone you trust sha). I have seen that it's always a rip off to change USD to CAD when you touch down. Would it be smart to do this?

Also is it safe to move my funds (POF) from my mutual funds....i intend to start looking for USD so I can convert some of it.

1. Leave your naira in the account , open CAD account after landing and buy CAD.
(hand to hand). Currently 330 to 340 and very scarce.

2. Come with usd convert in the banks 1.30

3.use your money buy land in ikorudu after landing cheesy

Hello,

Please help a brother. Ignore my handle name. My name is T.

Been reading the blog silently but i need help now. I'm kind of at my wits end with this Canadian thing. My score is just not adding up so i thought to come here and straight up get help. I am a 37 year old man. Working in Lagos island. Money is not a challenge but i am hoping to find a like-minded lady between 23-28years, to plan with. You know what i mean. At least lets talk first and see how we can work around things.

Age just affects the scores, no matter how much you have in the bank - French is off the table for me. So i need a grad, possibly with Masters or 2nd degree if you are not having a professional course. I will refund your IELTS if you show the scores (we don't need to meet yet please, so you know i'm serious) and cover your POF, etc. Me i need out. And i need help brethren. Whatsapp is ok.
08058112682.
Thanks.

Funny sha! I guess the guy was jst joking. Abeg my ppl if u must marry, marry for love not for Canada crs score. Canada isn’t naija o! Failed marriage isn’t cheap. The number of divorces among Nigerians in Canada (especially newly landed immigrants) is on the increase, in most cases; marriage of convenience is d culprit . Some of them are frustrated; especially the guys. Some guys end up paying for houses they don’t live in, taking care of women they aren’t married to, & paying child support for kid(s) they rarely see. Imagine u working ur fvckn a*s out to pay d bills & ur ex is somewhere with a lazy jobless man enjoying the dividends of ur labor. So if u live in canada or u intend to move overseas, take time to know who u are partnering with. My 2 cents

You can't be further from the truth..many girls pretending to love Canada bound or based men..but it's all fake..

It’s been 9 months since AOR and I sometimes get worried about this whole process. I lost my job during this corona period and it makes things even more worrisome

Soon, naija airspace will open and PPR mail will begin to rain. Some people won't mind being in your shoes (like me).

If I am asked to lose my job and get PPR soon OR secure my present job and start EE processing from d beginning, Bros/ma'am, I will choose the former.

Congrats in advance

Thanks for your response. So if he doesn't want to go through all that, he shouldn't specify his language proficiency and educational level?

Have you checked your CRS score? Those are optional if you can stand alone. grin

Lol, it's below 400 and it's really confusing. Is if because I scored 7 in listening?

Ok, you have to retake the English Language test and aim to score better: 9.0 in the Listening and 8.0 in Reading and 7.5 in the other two. If after that you are not to up to 470, get your spouse to get the possible 20pts from that test and evaluate degree for a possible 10pts, if after that, not up to 470, you go learn and take French Language.

Above all, play with the CRS score calculator to know what to do next.

Edited to add: Solved. I figured it has something to do with the new dollar limit on many bank cards so I used an access bank card and it went through

What did it cost you?
can we chat on whatsapp or something, I have paid for WES, but my document is yet to be receieved.

Has your document gotten to wes?
Do you have an idea how long its gonna take for wes reviewing considering this covid period?
Is there a whatsapp group I could join, just need some sort of personal motivation.

Pls, which material did you use in preparing for the IELTS exam....... I'm preparing for mine now, any help here pls?

My mail: debpumpin@gmail.com

Bro, in ielts all you need is confidence and practice, nothing hard in that thing, its just the pressure... Infact everyone should get a 9 for listening, I actually got a 9.

The scope is to follow the voice.
The questions follow each other, as you listen in an orderly step by step manner.

I also have about 6gb of ielts files, if you are interested, I can upload for you or you get it in Lagos.

1. I'm evaluating for my spouse, it hasn't.
2. I'm not sure but my own verification is in progress and I was given a one month estimate. Mine is from a UK university tho so I don't know if the timeline would be different from the one I'm sending from Nigeria
3. I don't know of any WhatsApp group. Since you're just starting out, isn't this thread enough motivation?

it's technical issue. if you clear cache it may pop up and when you refresh it'll disappear again. Don't worry it is there.

Thanks.

I hope you know IRCC officials frequently view this thread. All they have to do is note down the full name and all personal details of yours you have been doing copy and paste all over this forum. Then they cross their legs and jejely wait for you and your ‘wife’ to submit your application. 5years 600years loading

Best of luck.

In my experience, I was tracking my package via the tracking number so from the time it got to Wes, it took about 3 weeks for them to send a verification mail to my school and my status changed back to "on hold" Took my school 5 days to respond and then status has changed to "in progress" It's only been a few days.
