Now we will see if this is one Nigeria. They put aboki as MD of NNPC. Let them put someone from Oyo in charge of Zamfara gold. One Nigeria

Gold production annually doesnt exceed 3500 tonnes and the industry value is less than 200 billion USD. Nigeria's production is meagre and is not about to replace the oil money. So no way northerners are going to give up nnpc and presidency control. Oil value chain is 2 trillion USD. So this is fair.

All mining in a year makes 40 to 60 billion NGN. Artisanal mining is going to make a few ppl rich l but isnt going to fatten the national purse.
Oil earnings are about 50 to 55 billion USD per year for Buhari (multiply by exchange rate to get NGN value).

One can argue that northerners are being unfair with the legislation surrounding solid minerals... but leave all the imaginations of oil returning to the owners of the lands in the ND. It's been taken by conquest already. Let's live with the reality.

Emotional nonsense. Oil and gas is capital intensive and as such should not impact employment the way agric or some other sector would. Tho it has produced more money than other labor intensive sectors. It is worth more than the market value of all crops and proteins globally for example. Nigeria is about 2 to 3 percent of the market and that earns us quite a lot.

Mining itself is the same thing. I understand linkages very well. I Dont need the lecture.

Stop with the progressive BS and focus on reality and actual figures. The output from the gold mining isnt enough to create an actual industry. U would have to legitimise it and pour money into the sector to make it into a complex.

Northern control of oil and gas will continue. Artisanal mining isnt going to shake things up except enrich a few and hollow out the land.

Oil well or not it has imparted a great deal on my life and education lol. I have lived good off it and will continue. Thank God for that.
So yes 'our oil.'
Whatever bud.

Aww no gree make ignorance kill u. Na me wey hold una to no go enter NAPIMS collect jobs. Or abi u need oil block for local content value added services lol... or u need oil block for haulage or catering ? Bruh. If u like be waiting for alakija block lol.

Btw Adeleke has interest in a power plant that's part of the gas utilization program. Not an oil block. Do u even know what that means?

There's a thousand and one linkages across from up to downstream. And a million more services u could offer between PH Warri and Lagos that feeds heavily off oil sector expenditure and their staff.

So if u are not part of any of that. Kpele. My Papa open eye, help me open my own. Im doing perfectly fine.
Oga Adeleke and Alakija trumpet blower.

Lol if u dont know what to say kpele. U know u will npt get any of the upstream jobs if napims guys dont back u...

Last I checked Adelekes have interest with Chinese ppl at a power plant. Tho on second thought I wouldnt know what arrangements they have with the gas field operators/owners. Maybe some side spinning. U might have a point. Regardless, oil block is not a must.

And yes for the plants to stay profitable govt and pvt sector are big on devt of gas supply infrastructure. It is part of the overall scheme. In case u dont know the legislative framework doesnt allow for strict competitive pricing. The plant owners are generators up-end of the chain.

Then again u want oil block of all things.... how many indigenous producers are running profitably or even exist apart from aiteo, sapetro (with IOCs), Famfa (with IOCs), shoreline, seplat, conoil, oriental, Oando, neconde, brittania-u and co on the big side

belema, waltersmith, platform, moni pulo and some few others on relatively smaller marginal side.

There's a few others no doubt. But to tell me that u must have an oil block to enjoy the money is jokesss. Smacks of laziness
