I did not watch the DNC, but I watched the RNC for 5min 2days ago and about 15min yesterday just to watch the RNC circus. I was actually impressed with melania's speech if I ignored are annoying accent. For once, somebody on that side appeared to show a bit of care to recent happenings and the mess the US has become, but that's about it.

Don't get excited about viewership.

I watched a lot more of it than you did and was sick in the end at how they went on with their alternative facts. No tv station would have broadcasted it here if a UK party had done what they did. But then, I doubt they'd have broadcast DNC's unless they bought the station since we don't allow political propaganda on telly down here.
