Mine was traveling from Ekpoma to Ibadan..Unknown to us our driver is an epilepsy patient. Few minutes to his crisis he received a call that made him shout and para. Oboy see as the epilepsy start with him, my heart had left me, as the men beside him were trying to press brake and park he was pressing accelerator unconsciously.
It was not funny at all, thank God the men beside him were experienced drivers,they kicked his legs away from d accelerator and parked us successfully. This took us some time o, thank God the road was not busy DAT time.
After he recovered, we told him what happened and he said he is well now that he can still drive us.. For where? We no agree o, na one of the men in front drove us home from Akure..It could have being more tragic.. Thank God for life.. The funniest thing is that its a company bus and I saw him driving after some months. Only God go dey save us in Naija.

Passing through imo state, we spent close to 3 hours!! I was like what happen... Somebody cannot pass just one state? 3hours just passing through a single state... Its was funny

Mine was sometime in 2015, I was traveling to Port Harcourt from Abuja in GIGM, the driver due to bad roads was just jumping from one road to another that we were not familiar with. When the bus finally entered Delta State, the driver informed us that he doesn't know the road to Port Harcourt from Delta State as he is only familiar with Anambra Owerri route to Port Harcourt. To add salt to injury only myself and one other dude in the vehicle has an idea how to get to Port Harcourt from where we were so we became his navigator. When we passed Ughelli in Delta State at about 8pm in the night, it started raining heavily, the driver put on the car wiper and it wasn't working. How do we drive from Ughelli to Port Harcourt under a heavy rain? The clown of a driver brought out bathroom slippers and was using one hand to drive while wiping the water from the windscreen with the other hand. Funny thing was that he did a good job in the circumstances. Despite all the challenges we arrived safely in Port Harcourt at about 11pm.

Mine Happened like 4 years ago, i took a night bus going to the east, when we got to ijebu ode we saw vehicles parked nd were informed that robbery was going on ahead. That was how our useless driver put head and enter road o, we had not even driven up to 15mins from the place of robbery when the vehicle broke down. That was how everyone came down and started trekking that lonely highway by midnight

My year one in school, I ventured into the logistics business and I wasn't doing well at all. Out of frustration, I and my partner decided to go to Abeokuta to look for trucks to hire ( the most foolish decision I have ever made in my life), we kept going from garage to garage getting contacts of different drivers and we were so happy.
Yawa gas when we decided to withdraw the last 1k in my account to board a taxi to mushin, first bank had removed 895.54 as bank charges.

We were Just crying inside and decided to trek back las las 3 days we would get home, at a point my friend couldn't hold it in and started crying profusely and that brought us a good Samaritan that paid for our transport and snacks.

Along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, our bus had a fuel leakage. We got to a place & the roadside hawkers started shouting, " petrol! petrol! petrol!". The driver stopped the bus & all passengers started shouting at the driver to leave his seat & open the door so that all can get down quickly. When we noticed he was reluctant to open the door, the guys in the bus started fleeing through the windows. While struggling to get out, I had a tear in my jean trouser. When I was looking at the tear, people said I shouldn't bother about that, what matters is life.

Mine was from Kaduna to Enugu town
my first time. left kaduna at 7am
just reaching abuja express way, the tyre burst and unfortunately the burst tyre was better than the spare tyre. spent about 30 mins to fix it.
on reaching Lokoja side like that the another tyre burst we spent abt 1hr 30mins to fix it.
driver was moving slowly, road no good again.
finally on reaching ogbolafor the car finally spoil.
i carry two big ghana must go filled with items how i wan start carry am.
luckily the driver help me and spot another another car that took me to new haven at abt 1am.

Don't even know how the guy that sat closed to me jumped out, all I remembered was that before I could look at my side, he was already far into the bush, running like a mad man.....

Me no even know when I burst laugh while still seated inside the bus and people were struggling to get out from the Bus...

It was so funny, I later got to know that he actually jumped through the window without even me that sat closed to him knowing.

I felt the need to share this travel experience even though I haven't shared it with anyone before.

I redeployed from Kano to Ogun State after camp and took a bus to Ibadan, then was supposed to take another one from Ibadan to Abeokuta. I arrived at the park late and couldn't find a direct bus to Ogun hence this long journey. Sometimes I wish I had boarded a different company bus that day but C'est la vie.

Anyway, the journey was pretty smooth at first, apart from this one time our driver jumped a "slow down and stop" checkpoint and nearly got his windshield cracked into smithereens by the force of the military whip.

Asides that, the journey encountered minimal traffic on the road until we got to Ondo (one of those small villages that stretches for miles without major development) when our bus suddenly developed an engine fault. Driver claimed he couldn't get support from his fellow company drivers for one reason like that so we alighted the bus and waited for him to find a mechanic. After like an hour or so, a mechanic arrived and started working on the bus. Meanwhile some men/guys who had somehow bonded on the course of the journey, decided they couldn't sit around waiting like the ladies, and so took a hike in search of meat and booze and I believe ended up in a local ashawo bar. Men

After the bus was up and doing and we had boarded, the driver realised up to five passengers were missing. Then one of the guys returned and claimed the rest were right behind him. This "right behind him" statement turned to another 10 minutes of waiting before driver reversed to go look for them and we found them just mere distance from the bar, feeling good about themselves, plainly unbothered that we would arrive at our respective destinations very late. Same couldn't be said of me though.

Anyway, they had a good time at the bar, shared their meat amongst themselves and proceeded to bore my eardrums with talks about yahoo and being a man. Got to Ibadan at 9pm that night. Didn't know what to do. Luckily, NCCF came through (will find a way to support those guys once I hammer) and I spent the night with them. Early next morning, they gave me directions on how to get to Abeokuta and once I got to NYSC, put the whole experience behind me. Until now.

We were travelling and our bus broke down in a small town along the highway. Before the breakdown each passenger was minding his own business and no one was talking to another.
As we were waiting while the mechanic was fixing the car, I brought out a bottle of groundnut that I bought before boarding the bus and offered to everyone around. The next guy bought banana immediately, another bought drinks. Another started playing music on his phone, and that was how a small party started.
By the time the mechanic was through with fixing the vehicle it was as if we had known one another for many years. That was my best travel experience.
