I get that Griezmann and Coutinho are good in fast paced football and that may just be the direction Barcelona is heading, you can't maintain something you don't have the players for. Busquets cant fit in such a team. Getting the last barca manager was likely an attempt to play possessed based football which failed.

For the club to pay him that much would mean they make more than double that amount from just him alone. He unarguably justifies whatever he earns however much.

A player like Messi is a symbol of the club, and with him in it, the club stands to make so much money from brand endorsements, image rights, stadium attendance and more. Overall, his presence in La Liga benefits the league, hence the uncanny admiration from The League's President who is a Madrid fan.

Messi was bound to leave at some point, either by retirement (we all hoped for this) or be sold for profit (not llookiing like it now) and the club is definitely going to suffer either way but its worse now due to the silly player investment this shitty board has been on about. Messi's desire to leave is common knowledge to all, even the trolls on this platform know this. This current team lacks what it takes to compete, and you cant blame him for refusing to waste his final years under this very regime. What he demands is simple- a working project, which is not too much to ask for. Instead, the Board keeps spending heavily on players that everyone knows wont fit. Its absurd and his frustration is understandable. His body language in the 2-8 defeat says it all, even tho we can fault his leadership for such a loss and others like it, but the man is who he is. An introvert is an introvert. Making him a leader wouldnt change that.

Barca fans make me laugh sometimes, 1 was asked if benching Messi guaranteed victory in a match. Would you be happy to win that match or be unhappy you didn't watch Messi play and add a goal, a dribble or assist. The fan was quiet.

No one, I repeat no one was against the signing of Coutinho or Dembele then.. I have receipts

Apart from the exorbitant prices, I do not fault the board in any way for signing the aforementioned (Griezmann tho is another story)
So we are just unlucky that these players turned out this way....

Still our unfruitful purchases is not enough reasons for Messi to be stupid

Messi should remain at the club, yes but the rebuilding process must happen, with or without him. The club have negotiators who will figure out ways to make money and attract more investors. And players will rise to the challenge and assume more responsibility now that he is gone. So we do not need to sit back and keep mourning about someone who is over 33yrs. He has given us everything. If he leaves, we should count our losses, continue the rebuilding and perhaps look to get back on top as soon as possible.
