Philosopher1979: Them having 200k followers does not guarantee that they are a quality side. Last I checked they did not have a run away lead in the NNL. The fact is that African teams are generally poor at social media because they normally give that job to people who know nothing. Solving this will still not stop academies from hording young boys in the name of selling them to Europe. What we need is for our clubs to guarantee the health and safety of everyone involved in a match day? Even vandressa have not been tested with a 97th minute penalty against them on a Wednesday evening. As long as there is a question mark on health and safety the league will never ever go forward. 1 Like |

According to Berkshire Live, Anglo-Nigerian star Ovie Ejaria is set to join Championship club Reading FC permanently, bringing an end to a six-year association with Premier League champions Liverpool, whom he joined from Arsenal. The Football League have given permission to the Royals to sign the 2017 England U20 World Cup-winning midfielder. The deal had been help up because the EFL placed a soft transfer embargo on Reading which restricted the club from registering new players. The report added that Ejaria will sign a four-year contract with Reading on Thursday and could feature in tomorrow's pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur. The 22-year-old has spent the last one and a half seasons at the Madejski Stadium, scoring four goals in 55 appearances across all competitions and has also taken in loan spells at Sunderland and Glasgow Rangers since his arrival at Anfield. A former England U21 international, he has chosen to switch international allegiances from England to Nigeria and is one of the players on the radar of manager Gernot Rohr ahead of the resumption of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. |

JayromWrites: That is what separate them from other countries, especially England. England caps you not because you are a quality player, rather, they can you hoping that you turn out a quality player in the future, and by so doing, deny you the opportunity to rep your other nation if eventually, things don't turn out as envisaged. Just look at the many players of dual nationality France has neglected, if it was England in their shoes, they would have been long capped. Look at players like Isa Diop, Bounar Sarr, Zagadou and many other quality players that England would have hurriedly capped if they were in the position of France. Compare those players to the likes of Tomori, Hudson Odoi, Tammy et al 3 Likes |

Russian Premier League side CSKA Moscow have reached an agreement with their Dutch counterparts SC Heerenveen to sign highly-rated Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke. Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Ejuke will be joining the 13-time Soviet Top League / Russian Premier League champions on a four-year deal that will keep him at the Muscovites until the end of the 2023-2024 season, subject to a traditional medical. The exciting winger boarded his flight to Moscow at approximately 1630 hours on Thursday afternoon and will be arriving in the Russian capital at 2255 hours. His transfer to CSKA Moscow brings an end to speculation surrounding his future, with teams in France, Netherlands, Turkey and United Arab Emirates battling for his services following a banner season that saw him score 10 goals and set up six others in 29 games across all competitions. Ejuke's medical with CSKA Moscow has been scheduled for Friday ahead of his unveiling as a new player of the club. Nigeria internationals past and present including Ahmed Musa, Chidi Odiah and Aaron Samuel have worn the colours of CSKA Moscow in the past. 1 Like |

Ogenyi Onazi one time core player for the SE midfield has just signed a three year contract with Crotone. Onazi is only 27 and has a lot of football left in him and a lot to offer the SE if he can capture his previous form. However, there has been NEAR SILENCE almost embarrassing silence. But why ❓ No celebration or accolades and or the obligatory praise singing. Just near silence. Onazi on form is an excellent player admittedly the last few years he has not been outstanding. Nonetheless, l think this is GREAT NEWS for the SE. 6 Likes 1 Share |
