intrinsicniyi: Congrats bro. I think you should get your Canadian PR first before picking the other PR. That way, your application isn't delayed further. You can also wait for 2 months. If Canada does not issue your COPR by then, you can go ahead and pick the other PR 1 Like |

These Montreal VOs no get joy oo . My GCMS notes just arrived. When I submitted my application in January 2020, I didn't include reference letters for two jobs out of 4 jobs I claimed points for because getting those letters would have been a herculean task but I included my pay stubs, contract, bank statements and offer letters which stated my duties. However, in May 2020, after getting to know via webform that my eligibility was being reviewed, I had to get those letters because I just felt that something wasn't right. Lo and behold, the VO reviewing my application didn't acknowledge the employment docs I had provided at first in place of the missing reference letters as well as the new reference letters I uploaded via webform in May. Bosses in the house, please what do you think I should do? Should I send a new webform providing those reference letters again and also state that my points were deducted because those letters were not acknowledged? @Stencil @ednut1 @Mamaroon @Zeus04 @everyone 2 Likes 1 Share

Rach622: Your level of preparation coupled with luck or grace is what is required. Just practice well enough and take the test when you are most confident. You already seem inclined to go with MOD IDP so go with them. I think there's BCS Diploma in IT however you would have to have completed the certificate in IT before running it. The certificate in IT issued by BCS can be used to earn more points and that's what folks write to earn points. Depends on what you want though 1 Like |

[quote author=BeuHarry. HMMM...... No body wants to take regrettable action in life, though virtually everything in it involves risk. It's always good to calculate it before taking. Since he has committed everything into the hands of God, I believe he'll be guided accordingly. Thanks |

sesan01: Perhaps your file had not been worked on since your webform was sent. Did you get an acknowledgement that your docs had been sent to the relevant visa office when you sent the first webform? It was a big risk leaving out the reference letters in the first place o but pls resend and keep resending docs via webform until you get a response. Also, the officer repeatedly says "no LOE".....seems he just could not understand why a critical doc was missing without explanation.....so maybe include an LOE as well. Good luck! 3 Likes 1 Share |

Sold one of my cars last week and I wanna sell the other. @house, please holla if you need a clean naija used Lexus RX330.lolz About the PR stuff, not sure if its mandatory to inform IRCC...besides, I am sure they did all the required background checks for the time spent in the country. Anyways, best bet is to get an immigration lawyer to guide you if you are really concerned. 2 Likes |

sesan01: Wow! Not including the reference letter was quite risky o. However, please send another webform asap before they reject your application. So long they haven't rejected it, you are still go to go but please act fast! I am sure the 'egbons' here would also give further directions if need be. For the rest of us post AOR, this is why i always plead with people to order GCMS... It helps to know the status of your application to guide against any Yeye decision. It will end in praise! All the best man! |

isangjohnson: Well for me, I'd always say people should know why they wanna relocate. The measure of success is relative...some wanna relocate for money and some wanna do it for safety etc. Well for me, it's more of safety for myself and family...specially for my kids future to be able to compete beyond boundaries and no nationality would hold them back cos they will be citizens of a respectful nation. I also don't want them to see gaining visa to another man's country as an achievement as we often celebrate it here all becos of where they are from (Nigeria). If you follow trends and happenings in Naija, we all know there isn't any plans for the future. Don't get me wrong, it's possible to be here and be more successful with the 'anyhowness' than peeps that will relocate like I have friends over there that isn't finding it so easy as well but it's all about what he wanna achieve. Everything as we know is by faith and because of the future plans over there, we tend to believe that canny is gonna be better than this place. Forinstance, I often tell people that back in the 70s and 80s when some of our parents decided to relocate/migrate from villages to the cities, I am sure some peoples parents decided to stay back to farm, while some of our parents decided to move at a risk of going to face the unknown and perhaps, discouragement from the fellow villagers that would v clamoured for them to stay back... However, today, we can see the difference in the level of exposure us (our parents children) v over those that grew up in the village. Again, like I said, success is relative and the person needs to understand what works for him and his family and decide as no one can make that for him. However, he needs to realise that the world is changing and becoming smaller and global everyday. Would he want his kids to be confined and limited in this space called Naija or hold a dual nationality that won't make borders be a limiting factor to their success? 30 Likes |

Zeus04:true, some of those well to do that refused to travel in the 1980s, their kids are unemployed or doing one yeye work. While those that went their kids are not suffering even if they are doing jobs we consider big in Nigeria. Even our leaders all their kids have dual citizenship. 4 Likes |

Mamaroon: Thanks Mamaroon. When I was submitting my application, I actually included a letter of explantation as an optional document explaining the reasons for not providing those reference letters. I guess it wasn't seen or read. I'll draft a new one and send it with those reference letters again. Also, I got an acknowledgment that my docs had been sent to the relevant visa office when I provided my reference letters via webform. |

Hi guys, I'm not sure who might need this but these guys helped me and my family settle down in Calgary. They literally handled everything from booking our flights, picking us up from the airport and making sure there was a hot Nigerian meal waiting for us in the apartment they helped us secure. Especially in these covid times, we need all the help we can get. Hope someone finds it useful. 15 Likes 16 Shares

Not certain about the stages. I think 3 diets in total because she got an exemption as she already had a BSc when she begun the CIPM journey. For the purpose of gaining CRS points on this journey, I think CIPM will take a longer time as compared to the other certificate exams like BCS IT and CIMA. To evaluate any study program with WES, one needs to send a transcript and also attach a certificate. CIPM will only issue the diploma certificate. I don't think they have any lower certificate.
