Sadly, the so called uber drivers will be the ones making mockery of those who shut down their apps to protest on this day.
UberBolt know drivers cant afford to shut down their operarions for a day for a protest, they know and they can do as they like because there wont be strong resistance from drivers.

Imagine all these levies/docs with shitty fares and bad roads.

ojbanja:
*WHAT NEXT⁉️*

*UBERBOLT SAID WE SHOULD GO AND GET BADGES AND TAGS BY OURSELVES*

*THEY SAID THEY CAN'T INCREASE OUR PRICE, INFACT, DURING THE ROUND TABLE BOLT TOLD US THEY HAVE PLAN TO REDUCE THEIR PRICE*

*COMMISSIONAL CAME ON AIR TO SUPPORT BOLT BY TELLING US TO GET THE BADGES FROM MOT, AGAINST WHAT WAS DISCUSSED IN THE MEETING.*

*DURING THE MEETINGS WITH MOT, WE WERE TOLD THOSE RESPONSIBILITIES WHERE SHIFTED ON US BECAUSE APP COYS SAID THE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR US*

*IF GOVERNMENT IS AFRAID OF UBERBOLT, THEN WE MUST TELL BOTH THE GOVERNMENT AND UBERBOLT THAT WE ARE NO MORE HELPLESS *

*SO*

*ON MONDAY WE ALL BE AT PROVIDENCE STREET LEKKI, PRESS MEN WILL BE ON GROUND TO COVER OUR ACTIONS*

*WE WON'T GO ONLINE ON MONDAY, WE WILL BE AT LEKKI TO SEND OUT A WARNING MESSAGE TO GOVERNMENT AND ALL APP COMPANIES*

*WE SAY NO TO BADGES AND TAGS*

*WE SAY NO TO ROUND TABLE BRIEFINGS, WE WANT A PROPER MEETING WITH RELEVANT BODY AS ADVICED BY THE GOVERNOR*

*WE WANT A RE-EVALUATION OF OUR PRICES*

*WE ARE NO MORE HELPLESS, WE MUST STAND AND FIGHT ALL THESE IRREGULARITIES, WE MUST SEND A MESSAGE TO GOVERNMENT AND THE APP COMPANIES*

*❌❌❌ NO TO TAGS*
*❌❌❌ NO TO BADGES*
*❌❌❌NO TO INDIVIDUAL ENGAGEMENTS*

*WE WILL SEND OUT A STRONG WARNING ON MONDAY THROUGH TV PROTEST*

Nigerians and betrayal are like 5 and 6, most of this drivers will still on their apps on Monday, dat why the country will remain backward becoz dey only think of the present not the future, after eating the present there will be nothing left for the future.
Question we should be asking lagos state govt is why so many levies on the drivers, there is lasdri, hackney nd now 2 more only in lagos alone.
Uber and bolt should either reduce their commissions or all drivers should look for a way of coming together and reason as one by find a way of creating a new similar app that will rival both bolt and uber with less commission.

Distinguished sir, You don talk am finish. Can't blame them though. People on HP/rentals need to be on the road as much as possible to meet up with their respective targets. As per the bolded, I thought Eko cab promised to launch with a more favorable commission undecided. But as the typical Nigerians that we are, we din't even let them touch down before we dragged them. To clarify, I have no affliation whatsoever. But I am of the opinion that if there's a new entrant, it could help shake things with Uber and Taxify.

Its really sad because most drivers dont know the power they possess.

The reason it will be difficult to have a unison with all drivers is because they don't have a biding document. Take for instance, if every driver must have to upload "a driver union paper/document" to any of the ehailing app b4 they can drive then both the govt, app COYs and even the riders would all respect them when they talk. But right now you can't or expect every driver to turn off their app because they've no head/leader.

I've never seen a group without a head, and no organisation, government or person listens to a group of people but through their leaders, president or head.

So its time drivers come together and form a union, getbit regostered, elect a leader and enforce it to the ehailing COY's. Even the oloshos we're moving from one place to another have a union and are registered.
