There is no way someone with hand on your collar will pump you 7 bullets and you won't die or even be in critical condition, unless intentionally aiming away from your vitals. I may be wrong but the probability is low. At least you must be in critical condition if not dead. At that range, one or two shots will kill if the intention was murder rather than neutralisation.
