@bolded you're right but majority of them use the gratuity to build a permanent house without investing on it, most use it to get shuttle buses, but their monthly pension funds barely last them for a month cos of the way things are costly here.
If you're a young chap in Akwa Ibom with the zeal to hustle and get a better career then it's just to leave the state unless you have connections and maybe would be contented with the mediocre civil service while your contemporaries are making it big in other States
